This poem is dedicated to America!

UNBORROWED VISIONS

On election day
across this great land
millions of voters
said " yes, yes we can

yes to Barack Obama
our next President
with flags waving high
by the thousands went

out onto the streets
and into Grant Park
incredibly patient
standing there in the dark

longing for change
we can feel and can see
we knew at that moment
in the land of the free

we are united
...as one
standing tall
Democrats, Independents, Republicans all

inspired, renewed
by what we have faced
the world watched
as our people embraced

we cried, we cheered
a new path lighted
in that special moment
untold wrongs were righted

reading the faces
of the new generation
America stands strong
on their sturdy foundation

on November Fourth
Two Thousand and Eight
we grew up as a nation
not willing to wait

not one more hour
second or minute
we knew for our future
we ALL must go win it:
