A lot of the states for McCain were small margin [not all] and were bordered by states for Obama.
The polls were mid September...a lot has changed since then.
Go to CNN, click on politics and the poll map
Check your state out...
Look at the percentages,
Is your state bordered by a state for Obama?
Could it be that the mindset of bordering states could carry over into your state?
Some states have bordering large cities were people travel to work in one state and live in the other or have friends and relatives a few miles away but crosses a state line.
Check you state, what is the date of the poll? Have attitudes changed since the Poll?
The next maps we will see soon are the electorial college maps as the results of the Nov 4th election results come in.
