North Central Indiana 4 Obama Meeting

Here are some notes from the August 29 meeting.

We had 18 people present. I spoke about what we can do as residents of Indiana to help the aObama campaign. I spoke about IN2IA a group set up to get volunteers from Indiana to help out in Iowa. I spoke about canvassing planned at Notre Dame football games as well as the petition to get Obama on the ballot in Indiana primary in May of 2008.

There were student groups representing Notre Dame and a few local high schools. Sophia Gurule' is the state high school coordinator for Students for Barack Obama and was interested in helping start student groups at any schools in the area.

Dan Shenk came from Goshen were he represents a group of local active Obama supporter's. Their biggest activity is letter writing to the Elkhart county newspapers. They have had 2 printed and are going to keep up the great work!
