I admit, I had a early 8 year affair with the Republican party. This was at a time when the choice of candidates in 2000 and 2004 were not as strong as they are this year. Please forgive me for my temporary insanity.
Also the Republican party is in a mode of supporting the war in Iraq at the expense of many other important things such as the economy, taxes, energy and education. I support the troops in Iraq who were sent to a war that should have never happened. My heart told me to come home to the Democratic cause.
I am a little more conservative than our party nominee but I feel that my "Blue Dog" mindset will be more than welcome here. Now lets turn our collective minds and resources to electing Barack Obama to be the President of the United States of America.
When Sen. Clinton decides to step down I hope she encourages her faithful to come together without any strings attached. This election is too important to play around with.
Locally we must be active too. There are races all across the country with signifigant local impact. Remember our vote in our communities are as important too.
