'Barks for Barack' in Brooklyn

In a bid for the most shamelessly cute campaign photo opportunity of the day, schnauzers, bulldogs and an assortment of mutts and their owners started gathering at 7:30 a.m. in Prospect Park for an event called "Barks for Barack." They said they wanted to show Brooklyn's support for the "underdog" candidate for the Democratic nomination.
About 12 volunteer coordinators and 30 dog owners wearing Obama stickers mingled with several dozen other dog owners who were present for the regularly scheduled "Bark Slope" gathering in the Brooklyn park.
Daisy, a 6-month-old miniature English bulldog, wore stickers on her red sweater: "BARacK! For Change" and "It's not about cats, it's not about dogs, it's about all of us"
