It is no surprise Dick Cheney and people responsible for enacting torture and cruelty to prisoners are crying foul now. Cheney and the whole bunch are criminals returning to the scene of their crimes. Finding out information by committing War crimes has no defense, whatsoever!
No matter what type of prisoner you have, civilian, war, or undefined. A prisoner, is a prisoner, is a prisoner, period! It does not matter whether they secured information or if there was the possibility to secure information, it is illegal. It is only evil people who would enact evil in order to conceal their greedy evil purposes in order to protect themselves from their original lies. Lies concocted to enact a war for oil. Torture is the tool used to get people to say the lies. The lies the Bush administration want us to hear and want them to say, not the truth! Cheney needed to protect his war for greed through false statements forced through torture. These are evil very greedy men, and cowards to boot. Their crimes against humanity have claimed the innocent lives of thousands for profits in the billions.! It is better to be Murdered than to commit a Murder. Just as; It is better to be Raped than commit a Rape; etc.., etc. These principles go back to Socrates. It is that integrity honor among men that laws were created and then enacted to form civil society. Society that distinguishes us from them, then and now! Without that distinction there is no difference and it is that difference the entire world depended on the U.S. to maintain, and now to protect Socrates illustrations have been the foundation of civil society for many thousands of years, long before Christianity there were noble and highly honorable people and Societies. Our actions, our laws, and the moral issues we professed led the world and our people to believe we were such a society. One that holds honor and laws as something that will stand up to any situation and the test of time. That is until George Bush, Donald Rumsfield, Dick Cheney, and this Republican Party all abandoned those principles we have always professed. Principles and laws adopted by some of our great leaders who possessed unimpeachable integrity, wisdom, and first hand knowledge of these issues, and these situations. Those were laws and principles that were adopted after fighting one of the biggest wars, against the most diabolical enemy, for many years. There was no debate on adopting those principles back then and there was never any Question concerning effectiveness when our society embraced the High Road. Only during these last 8 years, principles long held and adopted by Great Leaders like Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Marshall, Truman and by the American soldiers from WWII who all chose integrity over cruelty. These are principles adopted by past leaders with such integrity the whole world looked to the U.S. for leadership. Those principles were chosen under conditions far more difficult then our current situation. These principles are well documented in Treaty's and in spirit accepted by our entire nation. These are the same positions that has separated the US from supposed rogue nations and were adopted during a war that cost 52 million lives, lives Cheney continues to cheapen. We must enforce laws that define our higher principles when our leaders betray those principles in order to restore that integrity and our character those people died to create. We must make sure that all people and all Leaders from both Partys' responsible for desecrating these principles are punished.
