Unfortunately, a Senator Menendez has but a hold on this free business resource. It enables businesses to verify the social security number of "new hires". It's quick and reliable. I suspect he is holding the program hostage, so he can bring MORE foreign workers, into the country.
This program not only supports the small business owner, but American workers and their families.
Unfortunately, the federal govt. has made it legal to fraudulantly apply for a job. Should an illegal immigrant use your identity to secure employment, a business owner can't question him or his documents. As long as he/she pays his bills and taxes you will never be informed someone is using your identity. No govt. agency or credit reporting company will inform you.
However, if the illegal immigrant skips town and leaves unpaid bills and / or taxes; the govt. will now ask you to pay back taxes and debt collectors will ask you to pay his delinquent bills. Remember, he used your identity, your social security number. You will be asked to pay. The govt will want thier money, so will any financial company. No one will want to hear your "story" about your identity being stolen. The burden of proof is yours. Your will spend hundreds of hours trying to save your financial reputation.
If this is what I'm going to get with the Democratic party, I might as well vote Republican. I want a party that SUPPORTS American business, American workers and American families ! The present admin. supports the outsourcing of American jobs. The present admin. has lost millions of American jobs. Unemployment is up and wages are down.
Our country brings in 2 1/2 million legal immigrants annually, plus thousands of foreign workers. I believe this depresses wages and denies Americans good jobs. Let's put American to work first. Let's train people that need improved skills for a good job. Let's employ the disabled, the unemployed, the disadvanbtaged, before we bring in more foreign workers.
Part of the reason I've been supporting Sen. Obama, is that I'm looking for someone to provide leadership. Someone to stand up for the American worker and not outsource our jobs. Someone that wants to lower the unemployment rate and employ more Americans, not foreign workers with (or without) a VISA.
I want the value of the dollar to increase. This will immediately lower the price of imported oil / gasoline. The present admin. has worked to lower the value of our money. This does make it easier for corporations to export, but it makes the foreign goods we purchase more expensive.
The value of the dollar has drastically decreased in the last 12 months. This is one of the main reasons the cost of oil/ gasoline has increased.
I want a leader that EXPECTS the federal govt. to help "labor", not hinder it. To protect us from contaminated food and drugs. To insure that the full power of the govt. is used to make our lives betteer, not to enrich powerful corproate entities. I want a leader that demands our children receive a good education, heathcare, and job opportunities.
A strong E-verify sytem helps the American worker and their family by moving them up the employment line and denying jobs to illegal immigrants.
