Obama needed his supporters to win the election. We could have done it for him, with him. His position on the FISA bill - destroying the 4th amendment - could lose this election for him because he cannot get his excited supporters to happily share the good news. It's over. We would have gladly shared our support with any undecided voter. Now, we're left with 3 choices... 1- disappointment, 2- McBush, or 3- not voting. I haven't made up my mind, but it's a close tie between 1 and 3.
Regardless, I won't be the enthusiastic supporter I once was. Sad, sad day.

trying to depress the enthusiasm to make everyone think he has lost his mo with his supporters.
notify headquarters.
this is like operation chaos in the primaries.
this is what the gop pays operatives to do. the goal is to make it seem like he is losing support and cause supporters to become dismayed.
the goal is to go at the democrat enthusiasm gap which is a deadly combination for the gop as well as bush.
keep alerting everytime you see it.
if someone does not support a candidate they do not waste their time putting effort into the campaign's website. they just go away.
no way i would waste time on mccain's site.
these trolls are paid.
remember that.

What idiotic nonsense!
You don't think it's possible for people who genuinely supported Obama to express disappointment on his website that he's behaving just like a politician? That's not change I can believe in.
Go ahead, believe I'm a troll, if it comforts you. Ignore the fact that Obama is supporting a "compromise" of a constitutional ideal. Blindly follow Obama without demanding that he live up to his own promise.
Obama is depressing the enthusiasm, not Terra. If he votes for Bush's FISA bill it will be the end of the dream... whether he wins or not.

What is your specific interest in FISA? Aren't you interested in those dying in Iraq?

It's the same issue, generally speaking.
Both FISA and people dying in Iraq relate to the horrible response of this nation's government to the 9/11 attack. Instead of committing several billion dollars to getting the perpetrators, our government started a couple of messy expensive wars, and used our fear as an excuse to start picking away at our constitutional rights.
Another comparison- if Obama can cave so easily on FISA, what makes you think he'll actually get us out of Iraq?

For those of us that haven't followed all of the details
of proposed changes, or specific details of the
FISA bill, some specific reasons from the anti-FISA bill
supporters would be welcome.
If each group or individual that appear to support
Obama, or McCain, or even Bob Barr refused to vote
or was going to switch candidates because the first
choice candidate doesn't support one of their issues, then everybody would be switching their choices
and not voting. Now that is change that we can't
believe in.

Please don't call it "one of their issues" when a candidate kisses off the 4th amendment, saying he now is Ok with warrantless wiretaps.
If you want eloquent argument on why the FISA bill is so shocking, you could try reading Glen Greenwald's blog at Salon.com. He's a real Constitutional lawyer. Start here:

It doesn't seem like your a real supporter of Barack Obama. It is Not unusual for a candidate to shift to the center in a General Election.
