James Dobson and his cult following idiots better known as Focus on the Family wants the nation to pray for rain. It's absurd enough when the fundies pray for rain to end a drought, but now Dobson's group is calling on people to pray that it rains on Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic convention (which he intends to deliver outdoors at Invesco Field). Yep, that's exactly what Jesus would do.
Maybe a better thing to pray for is that Dobson gets hit by flying submarine driven by angry lesbians who just left a greenpeace rally at his Colorado compound.
That, I suspect WOULD make Jesus proud!!!!
Just a thought!!!

No let's talk about Morality in McIdiot. The old gray headed idiot left his wife after she was disfigured in a car wreck, Had an affair with Cindy while still married. Married Cindy while still married to his first wife... and let's not forget that Cindy is a Pill Head too. That's morality!!!

Who's YOU any way man?
Did anyone here or from the campaign tell you to pray any one way?
You're a mental midget, a political moron and are doing a miserable job in being any kind of Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist or decent human being as I can gather from your comments.

The only prayer of any purpose is "thy will be done"...shame on any spiritual leader to encourage anyone to do anything else.

Agreed!!! Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever heard. Even if it were to rain, that's not gonna keep people from hearing his message and it's sure not gonna stop this movement!!!!

I Believe now. I got mad one night recently
over feeling just smothered. I took a drive to
the next town and back. I prayed.
I prayed for thunder and lightning and rain.
And the skys poured and the thunder roared
down. I said Praise God, there is a Higher
Power up there.
Only problem is that I didn't turn my lights
on, as I have small lights when I turn engine
on. I had a good time, listened to FROGGY, and
got back home safely. There must be someone
looking after us. As crazy as I am, I'd be dead
if there wasn't God looking after me and my antics.
James Dobson Calls McCain An Unethical Adulterer |

Interesting. Would this be the same Dobson who in 2000 summarized all that is still true about McCain:
"The Senator," Dobson said, "is being touted by the media as a man of principle, yet he was involved with other women while married to his first wife, and was implicated in the so-called Keating scandal with four other senators. He was eventually reprimanded by the Congress for the 'appearance of impropriety.' The Senator reportedly has a violent temper and can be extremely confrontational and profane when angry.”
Further, “McCain has accepted huge contributions from the gambling industry and apparently is comfortable with the proliferation of gambling in American society.
He has also accepted large contributions from producers of alcohol.
McCain also supports Most Favored Nation status for the brutal regime in China, and voted against our nation's monitoring of Communist Chinese commercial fronts operating in the United States.
He seeks to appease the bloated Federal public school bureaucracy and has refused to support vouchers.”
Couldn't have put it better myself.
He also mentions McCain’s support of pro-choice laws and fetal-tissue research, which as we know, are among a long list of McCain’s flip-flops over the years (which include off-shore oil drilling, as you know).
