Dear Mrs. Dunham,
I've heard that you are ill, and I wanted to not only wish you well, but thank you for raising such an amazing man.
When this election began, I was a Republican and was not intending to vote, because I couldn't see rewarding the Republicans for their disgraceful behavior over the past 7+ years, but I didn't think I could vote for a Democrat. Then I heard your grandson speak. My heart sang listening to his words. Before long I realized that the idealism I thought I had lost long ago was still there, just waiting for someone like him to release it, once again.
I am now a registered Democrat, full of hope for the future and politically active for the first time in way more years than I want to admit!
Thank you for all you've done to shape this man. For instilling in him such good values, a thirst for knowledge and the desire to be of service to our country. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude.
God Bless You!
Still idealistic in Caifornia
