Yes, he said it. Bill finally used the N-word. And, like white entertainers who "slipped" before him, his advisors suggested the only way out for him was to announce that he is checking into rehab at a posh Beverly Hills spa.
Observers have noted how the ex-Prez has been getting irate and begun to lose control on the campaign trail - particulaly over the last 3-4 weeks. There were a couple of hecklers he shouted down with out right lies about the facts. Last week, he threw an unopened bottle of snake oil at an outspoken member of the audience who queried him about Mrs. Clinton's motivation to continue running when it was mathematically impossible for her to secure the nomination. Fortunately, he missed his target. Bill's been missing a lot of targets this year.
Many elder members of the press have been remarking about his "whiskey nose". His close friends from the press, especially the NBC family (NBC, MSNBC, etc.) have been concerned that he may be hitting the sauce again - not just the McDonald's stuff for fries and chicken fingers. They think that this might be adding to his erratic outbursts.
Hillary also slipped. She used the H-word in a campaign speech in West Virginia. Howard Wolfson said she didn't really mean what she had said and that she also had plans to check in to a rehab facility - she is going to a top-notch psychiatric program in Arkansas. When asked why she was not checking into the same California program as Bill, she responded with a blistering tirade of expletives that no one cared to document.
