In the interest of truth and transparency, my wife is more Irish than she is anything else but she is, as most of us, a mix of many; she is an American woman.

For technical accuracy, I think Samantha resigned. There were innuendos that she was encouraged to resign but I want to believe that Barack demonstrates the compassion to not throw people under the bus if they are worthy. I am also inclined to think that Samantha Power is a woman of such high character that she would not think twice about martyring herself for a noble cause. In this article, it is really good to see her clear and common sense wisdom back on the table of public debate.

Good morning. I have always been drawn to the Irish; like the music and a beautiful country. Samantha is a grand lady and sad Obama gets pushed around by Clinton. Ferraro was a "slip of the tongue" "heat of the moment" gaffe, but no such understanding for Powers.

Re: Your comment about forum. I personally like forums better than blogs for community. The "energy" I find here is anger and negativity that sucks one down. I think two more spam sign ups got through the system, so do not know if that forum will remain active.

It would have been better to have a front page here for blogs, (such as at Technorati or other sites that feature blogs) so one could pick and choose from topics of interest rather than try to scroll past a bunch of re-posts that often violate terms of service and copyright laws. The system has been hacked at least 5 times and this copy paste habit~especially Clinton donate icon and entire page~could be responsible for bringing other sites ad spyware into the community. Forums are better moderated.

I do not watch TV so the whole subject is not interesting to me. On a forum I do not have to read on that topic.

I used to enjoy scrolling the blog posts to find that new person looking for help, or reading the personal stories. Today it is like a frenzied tornado.

So "to each his own". One likes the energy here (which used to be rather uplifting and rousing) and another would rather pick and choose conversations.
