Media criticism 101, not every image is construed in the same way. American history 101, subtle propaganda regarding blacks in America is alive and well. Cut to this week and the now infamous Britney, Paris and Barack ad (that Johnny Mac is sooo proud of). Honestly, I think the ad was a colossal waste of money. Here is what I have issue with, the fact that the word ‘foreign’ was plastered right next to his picture. I have issue with the fact that Fix excuse me Fox News continually places “Obama” under a picture of Osama Bin Laden. I have an issue with the fact Johnny Mac has a web ad displaying a US Senator next to Fidel Castro. I take issue with the fact the if Barack Obama mentions, alludes to, talks about, hints flat out makes a comment about his own person, HE is the one playing the race card. Lets get one thing straight people (and I know I may be preaching to the choir here); it is in fact true the RNC is trying to make votes scared of Barack Obama. There is a long-standing history of violence and epitaph slinging towards black men in this country for being paired, seen, pictured with white women, (i.e. Emmett Till). So for Johnny Mac to be so proud of this ad, and assuming he has some inkling of American history, one must wonder who really played the race card.

Not once, not twice, now more than three times the McCain Camp has compared Barack Obama, a US born citizen, to foreign leaders. This to me is a window into who McCain really is. With these comparisons you are not only questioning the citizenship of a sitting US Senator, but you are implying that he is somehow “other”. To go a step further with that implication you are saying that anything “other” is unacceptable. So when Senator Obama said the RNC and others “were going to try and make you scared of me” he knows of what he speaks.
