We’ll she has breast. I think was the driving factor in John McCain’s pick. She has breast and those Hillary supporters they have breast too..so Sarah Palin it is. Normally I am not this crass when it comes to editorials but this choice insults my intelligence and sometimes the only way to hit back against ignorance is with ignorance. The Friday morning shot heard round the world was the announcement of this little know woman as the VP pick of John McCain. I can’t help but remember a line from President Bill Clinton’s speech Wednesday night, where he said, and I’m paraphrasing here, with Barack’s first presidential decision, he hit it out of the park. Well if this is McCain’s first presidential decision. I can’t help but be afraid of what else is to come.
This is the same man who for months attacked Barack Obama on his lack of experience and readiness to lead. Well I don’t know about you having a person who has only been governor for under two years and before that a mayor of a very small town doesn’t not put my mind at ease when I’m thinking of that 3am call.
The RNC realizing they’ve given up the chance to hit us on experience and readiness have now gone to well she is personable and well like…. like a celebrity? So it is okay to be well liked if you are a hockey mom from Alaska instead of an intelligent well-versed leader first from Hawaii and then Chicago… well which way do you want to have it RNC? But it can’t be both.
Now all of the talking heads are tripping over themselves saying that she could bring in those Hillary votes…well again I have to remind you of the speech HRC herself gave asking her delegates why were they in this, were they in this just for her or were they in this for the reasons she ran? Turns out they were in this in large part for the reasons she ran. HRC adamantly supports a WOMANS right to choose. Palin dose not. In fact Palin opposes abortion even in the case of rape or incest. HRC is pro-environment realizing that it may be in our best interest to protect the world in which we live. Palin doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change. She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species because she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska. HRC is for universal health care Palin...well she's that new to the national spolight..but still lines up with the RNC platform on the issue. Palin is no Clinton and definitely isn’t Biden. John McCain’s campaign strategy is to use the words of HRC against Barack Obama well just ask what fellow Alaskans are saying regarding Palin as a VP pick…
Alaskans, collectively, are just as stunned as the rest of the nation. She is doing well running our State, but is totally inexperienced on the national level, and very much unequipped to run the nation, if it came to that. She is as far right as one can get, which has already been communicated on the news. In our office of thirty employees (democrats, republicans and nonpartisans), not one person feels she is ready for the V.P. position. Sherry C., Anchorage, AK
Palin as she said best is a hockey mom from Alaska. She is no more ready to lead this country than I am, the difference being I know I am not ready to lead this country. When the choice is between Barack Obama/Joe Biden…Sarah Palin pales in comparison.
