UNINSURED LA bumper stickers to support Health Care for Everybody will be available from Friday June 26. You can see what the stickers look like (in English and Spanish) by following http://www.uninsuredla.org.
The stickers are being passed out by volunteers throughout Santa Monica and Venice on June 27 and 28. To participate, email Stephen at uninsuredla@gmail.com.
Use the sticker as a way to start conversations about the need for health reform that truly covers all of us.
The uninsuredla.org website leads to our growing facebook group, where our group of participants is visible and where visitors can find great links to the latest info on single payer health care and the public option being debated nationally. The site will also provide an action list for what visitors can do now to support health reform.
About UNINSURED LA:
UNINSURED LA™ is a solidarity campaign on behalf of the many people in Los Angeles without any or without sufficient health care, led by a Venice-based group of artists and community volunteers. Our goal is to successfully support reasonable & comprehensive health care for all, with a special focus on engaging young people to participate in the health reform movement: 1) by creating a bold online and print media campaign with a health reform message centered on the uninsured and underinsured;2) by hosting UNINSUREDLA.ORG where visitors can learn about single payer health care reform in California and the "public health care option" currently being debated nationally + find simple action steps for supporting health reform;3) by continuing to build a Facebook group as an youth-centered organizing hub in the fight for health reform.
