Barack will be speaking at the John McEachern High School just outside Atlanta, Georgia shortly, on strengthening the financial safety net for America’s families. At the event, he'll discuss his plan to help Americans deal with debt and bankruptcy, particularly in the wake of a medical crisis. The Atlantic Journal Constitution reports:
The doors to McEachern High School's gymnasium weren't supposed to open until 7:30 a.m. for Barack Obama's townhall meeting, but that didn't deter a large crowd from lining up more than two hours early Tuesday morning.
Holding down the front of the line at the Powder Springs high school was Sharon Pimpton.
Pimpton said she got up at 2:30 a.m. and drove from her home in Lithonia, arriving at the Cobb County school about 4:30 to "be a part of history."
... "I'm hoping that there will be a change, and that people will be able to save their homes and have a job," Pimpton said. "I'm hoping that life will be better in the past than it has been for everyone."
