Dear President Obama!!!!
That sounds GREAT!!!! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!! I am delighted to have been a volunteer for the campaign for the past 8 months or so, and unfortunately being disabled and wheelchair bound (most of the time)I did phone calls every day from home. I wanted to do ANYTHING to help you to get elected, but I never thought I would be able to do as much as I have done from home. I loved every minute of it.
I just wanted to Congratulate you on a job well done...you ran a really good clean campaign, You were you and never tried to be someone you are not. And I shows through....beaming through, both you and Michelle.
I wish you and your family nothing but luck and blessing moving as you move forward from this pivotal moment!
I would very much love to continue in some way to work with you in any capacity, and at this point, it would be my pleasure Mr. President. I' m not sure what I could do, but I will keep all options open. Especially, if there is anything I can do over the internet from my home...volunteerting!
Congratulations again on your Fantastic Journey! I have been SO proud to be working on behalf of you and your campaign. I loved doing it for you!
Best of luck with the new job.
All My Best!

Congratulations President Barack Obama! You have created history today. You have inspired millions of us, not only in our great country but across the world, to believe in a better tommorrow, to believe that change is possible and to believe that we can be instruments of that change, and to hope again.
My husband and I, as well as my 77 year old elderly mother who used to be a republican all of her life but recently turned democrat in order to vote for you, all cried tonight; because your victory is our victory; your hope is our hope, your strength is our strength, and your belief in change for the better is our belief.
My husband told me that tonight was a "TRIUMPH OF REASON OVER FEAR." Thank you Barack Obama, President Obama, for helping us believe again, for challenging us to let go of our fears and embrace the hope for a better tommorrow; and for reminding us that we stand and fall together, so we must work with unity to achieve a better future for generations to come. You are truly an inspiration to me, to my family and to millions. You are a true blessing to all of us. God bless you and your family always. Thank you for all you've done for us thus far, and for all you will do in the years ahead. And most of all, thank you for helping us believe again.

well i would say, that barack obama is the right choice for america. we have seen so many people, who tried to make a difference, but this person is really able to not just talk about it, but to do it. it was clear to me, that barack will do that race and will win the presidental election. what i love most about him, is he stayed grounded and still knows where he came from. he knows the hard sides of life too. so i think he is going to make the change america really needs. george w. bush made so many mistakes and ruined that country so bad, that barack has to bring america up again. and thats not easy. i guess, the people in america need a change, and most of all, everybody needs to get a fair chance to live each one's life the way everybody wants to live it. it should not be the case, that children, whose parents are poorer or had not that chance to get a good education, have to live the same hard life as their parents had to. everybody should have the chance to change. and this is álso the true meaing of the declaration of independence! america is on the right path.

Congratulations Mr Obama, Mr Biden and all of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
I am Canadian but have been watching your Presidential race closely these many months.
I happened to be awake at around 3 a.m. and was privileged to see President Elect Obama's speech.
I am admittedly not much of a "political follower" and certainly not here in my fair land (yawns)...but I don't believe I have EVER heard a more sincere and touching speech from a political figure in my entire 50 years. It actually made me cry. I believe Mr. Obama means what he says, and is a sincere man at heart. I also believe his values and commitment to your great country will only serve it in the most positive way(s) and that his dedication to same will help with your financial and other crises. Good luck to you Mr. Obama. I pray that you stay safe.
Again congratulations from Canada. I almost wish I could become a US citizen only to say that this soon-to-be great man is MY leader.

Dear President Barack Obama:
Please accept profound congratulation from my family members and me, on your historic and landlide victory, indeed, and eventually becoming the president of the United States of America. From the very beginning, when you began appearing in primaries, the way you spoke, we did see ambition, confidence, knowledgeability, reasoning and an unkanny knack to overcome the oponent. In a nut shell, we heard Divine echo in your speeches and talks. The God, who we call Allah,
the Great, has bestowed upon you this universal dignity and fame. You deserve it indeed. It was coming to yo from Him anyway. We thank God, so you do please.
Obviously, this is a miracle of God. And, this is possible in the United States only. My family and I are American citizen. We already are fan of America and our faith in and love for America is more stronger now thwn ever. I salute you, Mr. President, I salute the great United Sates of America and congratulate the whole American nation on this thrilling event. We strongly hope, under your dynamic leadership, America gonna get at the apex of its abounding strength and popularity alonwith with a promising uplift of common American people. I just voluntarily worked for you and the Democratic Party as a silent worker just this time, and will try to remain associated with them as usual. We wish you every success in your future efforts, not only in your first presidential term but we want you to keep an eye on the second term too. Please don,t relinquish the White House before completing your 2nd presidential term. God bless you and your family and the United States of America.
Best wishes for a very bright future.

The country needed this change ..The GOP destroyed this nation in 8 short years...Econmically, militarirly and destroyed our reputation the world ....I wish you great success as you embark on this journey as President of our nation ..
Keep in mind that the Repugthugs are waiting to jump on you for any mistake, mis-spoken words ..So
1) Keep your family out of limelight ..Do not let them become butt of jokes for one reason or another ..OR employ your wife like Hilary during Bill presidency OR Bush daughters in the news .
2) Keep Biden in check ..He is a very talented person & very knowledgeable person but he has tendency to put his foot in his mouth very frequently ...he will be the target of GOP thugs ..Let him operate like Cheney ..behind the scenes and get things done ..It will be difficult but a very prudent choice ..
Good luck to you ..& hope that under your leadership we will turn the corner and make our country better ..

As you have said that you will tackle the economy first which is the burning issue for US citizens.. Next is energy..we must become independent of Middle-east oil...so invest the alternate energy sectors ..give tax breaks to cos who invest here & bring products online for this nation...
Next comes the health care issue: easy on this & go slow methodically to show incremental benefits so over the next 8-10 years we can provide health care ..
I am very hopeful and know that you will do your best & tackle these problems for the benefit of this nation ..We must fix our election mess so we get rid of Diebold machines & provide paper trails for the voters... GOP has shown to manipulate the election system run by Diebold...

The arabs are again talking about reducing production to raise oil prices ..Rather than allowing the corrupt Arabs to raise the price of oil. why not tax the gas a bit more here in US & use the money to go for alternate energy. Buy you know what the Joe citizen will not buy this ...We are so stupid that we will be up in arms if the govt raises the oil tax a bit to encourage less use of oil & put money for alternate energy. No wonder there is no money for roads, infrastructure etc ..We should explain to the US citizens that gas in european countries is 2-3 times our price ..A little bit more Fed tax will not hurt US economy but will go a long way to help this nation wean itself of the foreign oil & invest in alternate energy research & in cos which will produce the hardware.

Mr. PE Obama ...Be very careful about how you view war in Afghnaistan ...This is a country with tribal alliances supersede anything ..tribal leaders ally with the highest bidders ..Here are my suggestions:
1) Pakistan is the main culprit in this terror war ..talibans & their mercenaries all come from there..their leaders all hide there...
2) The miltary has to find a way to stop them at border..& hit then there ..before they come in ..
3) You have to squeeze Pakistan to curtail their sanctaries ..a threat of boycot of this country in UN will go a long way ...Do not cuddle with them ..their past actions are evident of that ..
3) Do not be in haste ...it will take time to bring the Taliban under control ..It will be thru intel & special forces to hit their leaders & take them out ..
4) Pay a little to keep the tribals leaders on our side ..
5) The police etc are all corrupt as they make a little money & the Taliban (with $ from drugs etc) can buy them ..training has to be more strict ..
6) All this will take time ..root out corruption as much as possible ...one will never be able to eliminate it ..
7) More troops to get quick results will fail ...the trick is keep our casualties low & hit them hard ..We may need to be there for the next 20 years & not the next 5 ...
8) US is impatience & that is our weakness ...
9) The military must use the locals from the North to fight against the South part of country,, ..The problems of this region are enormous and Pakistan is the key....But is has not been easy to deal with them in the past nor it will be in future ..US must pressure them in many ways ...
Best wishes ..

The stimulus pacakge you are proposing will go a long way to get the US out of this mess to some extent ..Keep it large to hit the economy with a jolt ..You are on the right track I work with a state agency & deal with Counties/Cities on highway projects ...Here are some suggestions:
1) Do not give $ to counties/cities directly they are the most wasteful entities ..
2) Give it directly to States who provide list of projects that they want to build ..including those from county/cities...
3) Employ few federal folks to keep tight control of $ & where this $ are going to build projcets..It is not difficult to setup controls ..
4) Wasted $ will do little to help the economy so need to keep tight controls ..
5) All states have projects which are on hold cuz of lack of funds so these projects could be easily sorted & put to bids ..with federal control over it ..This list can be priortized very quickly & approved ..
6) A tiny fraction of $ spent on federal control will go a long way to spend the stimulus package wisely ..A small federal agency cud do this which can be disbanded after the stimulus $ are spent ..
Wish you good luck as you embark on this journey to lead our nation ..

Good Luck to you on your inaugration Day ...Hope it brings new hope for millions of citizens who are yearning for a better time for our nation ...
I know you are looking to bring more troops to Afghanistan ..Dont be in a haste to do that ..we need to be careful, measured in our approach to solve the Taliban problem ..It will not go away too soon ..will take time and a methodical approach to solve the insurgency ..
Following are the issues in the region:
1) Pakistan is the main culprit in the region ..almost most of the problems in the area are supported by the govt OR the retired members of Pakistan Intelligence agency ..
2) Pressure has to put on the govt to cooperate OR threat of sanctions ..otherwise they will not change ..Look at the past history ..Military is the real power & the current PM does hold sway over the military ..
3) Taliban is supported in Pakistan for everything money, drug sales, weapons & hiding madarassa..they get their recruits from the local population & smuggle the rest from arab other countries ..
4) Local Afghan citizens are too poor & will do anything to survive ..The so called warlords who run these tribal people are corrupt but they can be bought to turn against the Taliban ..small amount of $ will do the trick but they need to be controlled ..
5) The military need to win the mind/heart of people so some investment in school, water projects etc & agriculture willdo greater good ..
6) It will take time & the results will take years ..our presence will be needed for a long time ..OR it will go back to Taliban very quick ..
7) Taliban need to be controlled at the border ..& hit hard as they enter ..Go after their leaders will be the trick as they did in Iraq ..
8) Limit casualties by limiting the foot print of NATO forces. Accerlated training of locals will go a long way to help ..
9) Pakistan is the key ..OR all else will fail..The local population is too poor & can be bought by Taliban to do bombings ..any short term solutions to finish the job & leave will fail ..This would require long term strategic thinking on the part of Commanders & local solution to the problem ..

States should encourage by matching funds to install solar panels for heating etc ..Stae & federal (I am from a middle class - I cant afford to put $ on solars unless there is help from states & federal tax code) What our politicians dont realise if my take home pay is $3-4k how can I spend $ on solars? [this is av for middle class]
Companies who install solars should be indentified & promoted by the president so others can follow ...
All federal building should be encouraged to install solars & states should help too..
Encourage the GM etc to build cars which can run on natural gas ..
Mr President you met the Mayors & asked them not to waste money ..I recall mayor of my city saying they dont ..but they do waste $ ..left & right ..
Encourage public transportation ..we could use our highways to run buses ..& build park & ride parking lots but the DOT dont do it ... cuz the policy they pursue does not encourage it & they dont have comprehensive plans to promote public transportation ..
I hope Biden is tuff on these mayors & state politicians to spend $ wisely ...For our own sake we need to do it ..

I am very disappointed in you Mr. President Obama. Misuse of public funds on this scale has undone many things you were telling us you want to do...transparency, level with American citizens .. I dont buy your statement that you are stunned ..No you are not ..you are becoming the ole same politician in Washington...I am begining to realise that you talk a good talk but you dont care about the US citizens who are suffering cuz of these SOB at AIG, banks ..Shame on you to allow these bonuses to be paid ...Alas wahsington is changing you ...I thot Deomocrats will do good now they are in power but like the Republicans they are equally corrupt ...
Well we suffered under the GOP & the US citizens better learn quick that they will continue to suffer under the Democrats ...
