Thanks for comments on my posting today, I appreciate the feedback and I have answered all of your comments. I have reposted my post from today followed by response:

I wake up today extremely disappointed in Senator Obama. I am sorry to see that he has allowed to media to pressure him into denouncing his own pastor. When will we learn not to give in to media pressure and to pressure the media? Too bad he was not able to see the trap laid by the republicans and corporate controlled media. By denouncing his pastor he has acquiesced to the media interpretation of Wrights “politician” comment and opened the door to future denouncements. He allowed the pastors words to be taken out of context and pandered to a certain element in American society who has long controlled the social agenda in this country.

Ironically it was blacks who did not stand with the Reverend. If blacks did not go on tv and act like this was foreign to them this would not have been a story. If we framed it in the proper context and not allow the media to do it for us this story would have been over months ago. It was indeed blacks who openly criticize Rev Wright, a respectable man, and those who are criticizing have never done even one tenth of the work he has done for the community. Some people wont get off their arses now and support Obama.

If blacks stood with Rev. Wright and Obama and showed love instead of respond to the hate This would have been over when it started. I still believe the denouncing is more a reflection on Obama than Wright, and could be used against Obama in general election because it now shifts from Rev. Wright to Obamas integrity. The question now become why did he stay there for twenty years, that question will continue to be asked.

While I still believe in Obama I am disappointed in his handling. I do not agree with Obama on everything, I might critique him but I still support him as the next president. My loyalty is not to Obama but America, and I do believe in Obamas ability to lead America. See, it is true one can disagree with someone and still respect them.

Senator Obama tried to explain all of this in his speech in Philadelphia. Many people heard his speech and did understand.

First, this should not have been a story in the 1st place. When have we ever heard about any other candidates' pastor? If we have, I don't remember and my memory is fairly good.

Second, Senator Obama gave context to Reverend Wright's endlessly looped 3 out of context snippets and most of America heard him and understood.

Third, if Reverend Wright had left it with the interview with Bill Moyers and the NAACP appearance, I would have been able to keep right on defending him and would, indeed have had more credibility in doing so, but that last speech I cannot defend. As I said before, Reverend Wright attempted to drag all of us backward and divide us up again -- and he said that Senator Obama did not believe the premise underwhich we all are acting. When Reverend Wright questioned the basis of this entire movement -- that we can unite to solve our problems -- he lost the right to my defense.

Fourth, there is no comparison of this Govt. (no matter how bad some of our actions) to Al Quaeda. Al Quaeda wants to establish the "Great Kaliphate" and roll civilization there back to the Stone Age -- they want to eliminate women's rights, the fundamental rights of men and women, real education, and etc. Indeed, if you want to know what Al Quaeda wants to do from Spain, through the middle east, up through Eastern Europe all the way into parts of China, the Taliban is a great example. I can only think of one govt. to compare to Al Quaeda and that is the govt. of Pol Pot.

O.k., I am done. I really don't want to talk about Rev. Wright anymore. I am truly sorry for the man and will hold him in my prayers. But, please do NOT suggest that Senator Obama's statements yesterday were anything other than heartfelt. I am surprised, myself, that Senator Obama restrained himself as much as he did. If called upon for my opinion by the press, I would have registered much greater fury the day after those remarks. ( I guess I really wasn't done venting before, but I am now).

Don't worry about it! We are uniting even though we disagree!

That may be true of al queda but what does america want to establish, by releasing her military across the globe.

I dont want to get into a who loves america more debate. I see beyond the glossy exterior. The reality is that a great deal of blood have been shed in the name of the American people. As well as christianity, as well islam, and judiasm. Sometimes even to her own people.

A black man was shot to death by police in New York. One cop emptied his gun and reloaded. The black man was sitting in a car, and while some will say the police thought he was reaching for a gun. He was in a confined space, where was he going, why fifty bullets for four people who were not on any alerts or considered armed and dangerous. The police represents the government, well the people took them to court, and the court, the government said what they did was ok. The police got off and still have jobs as police, and when that blacks man wife pays taxes its some is going to the police, when the other victims in the shooting pay taxes some go to the police. If you were them wouldnt you feel terrorized. If you lived in a country where the government gave the police a license to kill wouldnt you feel terrorized. Well this happened in america.

Also the reverend has a right to speak and that is why we have seperation of church and state. Because the forefathers knew there were wacky preachers out there

Obama went to that church because of the out reach many of its members practiced.Its easy to say he should have done this and done that,but if you are involved in a church because of the good deeds it does in the community and you know and care about lots of people in the church as well .You can then see why it took so long for him to do this.He said it best the first time when he said wright represents an old way of thinking one comming from a person who grew up in that time that was not so good.If everyone that supported would understand this we could begin to change the medias facination with this subject.

Thanks for sharing this great news about Barack's support here in New Jersey! This should help put to rest the preposterous notion that NJ would go for McCain over Obama. That'll NEVER happen! In fact, the poll shows Obama beating McCain by 24 points and the other Democrat who shall remain nameless beating him by only 14 points.

Anecdotally, I have noticed lots and lots of Obama stickers appearing on bumpers in recent weeks- at least one per day. I've only seen three for the other candidates - combined - since the primaries began. This past weekend I attended a street fair in Princeton where there was a Democratic booth set up, and they were handing out Obama stickers, which many of the people at the fair were wearing proudly. I didn't see anyone wearing the other candidate's sticker although I'm pretty sure it was also offered.

Also, my senior-citizen mom lives in AZ and she and all of her elderly female friends from her retirement community voted for Barack and continue to support him. They are sick and tired of the negativity and stupidity coming out of the MSM and think Barack's handling himself gracefully and like a true leader. My mom said to me today that it would just be a shame if this country was stupid enough to not elect Barack and she's praying for him, Michelle, and their girls.

As many of you know, I have been coming to this site for several weeks now. I originally came here to get answers to my questions. I was angry about things I had been hearing about the Obama camp. Instead of letting my anger fester and grow I came here to talk and get some answers. I was greeted by most with great enthusiasm. There were so many willing to answer my questions to the best of their ability. I decided to stay around and learn more.

As time has gone by and I have learned more about Senator Obama and what his movement is truly all about I have found myself pulled here day after day. I have read Senator Clinton’s issues page and Senator Obama’s issues page looking for the differences I needed to make an informed choice about who to support in this primary. I’ve asked questions on the blog. And, I’ve even prayed for guidance as this decision has been very difficult for me.

However, I have come to the conclusion that I believe the days of the Clintons and old politics are over. We are at a pivotal moment in our Nation’s history. We need to call out in one voice that we will not take it anymore. We want the world to know that we are taking responsibility for the actions of our government and are doing all that we can to correct the wrong’s that have been committed.

I support Senator Barack Obama because I believe that he is the only candidate who has shown a real desire to change politics as usual in Washington. I read some in the “Blueprint for Change” last night. I have finally found my reason. The issues are basically the same between Clinton and Obama. I had to find within myself the reason to justify switching candidates. Senator Obama has laid out a plan to bring the government back into the hands of the people. He has inspired those from all walks of life to believe in change. He has brought the youth of our nation together. He has shown the world that America is waking up and finding that it is still strong.
