The response to our call to phonebank Guam has been incredible, with callers reaching out halfway around the world to help Get Out The Vote for tomorrow's caucuses. As a result, we've extended the calling campaign tonight until 5:00 AM Pacific Time (7:00 AM Eastern). It's still early afternoon in Guam right now, and this is our last chance to reach supporters before the caucuses.
Here are just a few of the people who have been staying up late tonight to help call Guam:
Yes We Kan:
I just made some calls to Guam and YES the people are very nice...and they are impressed just to receive a call from us! They also are impressed that Obama is the ONLY presence that they see there! So have fun with calls to Guam ... My phone service only charges .08 a minute to there. I talked with a junior in college and he was most pleased that I called and I believe he will find the time to go and caucus for Obama ... esp. since I called him!
B from Lincoln:
Please do make calls, the people there are very very friendly, and are loving the attention!!
Eliz Vermont:
It's fun. Left some messages and just ended a call with a strong supporter. I'm learning a lot from reading up on Barack's Guam specific policies ...Give calling a try! You'll like it!
Jeff (who's calling again today after setting the pace last night):
You get to talk to incredibly nice people. Everyone that I have talked to (probably 60 live) have been supportive. Best is that they get their families to go.I even called HQ there to make sure they wanted me to give out the [Guam] HQ phone number. They do and they tell me the phone just keeps ringing. So go on, reach out and touch Guam.
You can view Barack's positions on many of the issues facing Guam, and then log on to our online phonebanking system and start making calls.
(Please note that some phone companies consider Guam an International Call and some do not, so you might want to check on the details on your own personal service plan before making calls.)
The Guam calling campaign runs until 5:00 AM Pacific Time. Anyone up for an all-nighter?
