Can you and the other blogger post a "how to" so us novices can imbed photos and video in our posts? Thanks.

I don't think you can embed stuff in your blog post (only text and html links). If you want to include a link, just paste the html address in your comment and it will show up as "Link"
hope this helps!

Are you distinguishing between our comments posted on "The" Blog (where you can post a "link") and our OWN blogs? For the later, I have not figured out how to embed a video in my blog. I guess we are also wondering how Sam and others can do it in theirs, but it seems that we can't in ours? Thanks

Yeah, we can't do this on our own. In order to post a slideshow like this, you have to be able to use the "object" tag in html. Only people given extra special web-posting power are able to do so. The general public / us who just have regular my.barackobama blogs can't do this. Sadly, with the state of spam on the web, this is a typical security practice to keep websites safe and functioning. Otherwise someone could take the site down by embedding malicious code.
We can post individual pictures on blog posts using the "img" tag. And we can make simple links in comments. AND we can let the campaign staff re-use our photos to make slideshows like this. Which is what I did! Yeah!!

Hello all,
If you are looking for a great way to celebrate build momentum for the upcoming contests check this out:
Below is a link to the With One Voice fundraising campaign for Senator Obama. It was started in honor of the voter in South Carolina who gave this movement $3.01 and a bible verse. She, like most of us, could not afford to max out her financial contribution. However, the spirit of this movement is not a few people doing a lot, it’s many people doing everything they can.
The goal is to echo our friend 10,000 times over and raise $30,100. So far we’ve raised over $7400 from over 230 people. This is an official Barack Obama fundraiser so funds go directly to the campaign and count towards the 1,000,000 goal.
Please check it out, give what you can and pass the link on.

Thanks!

Edmund and GMB - Maybe she conceded, or maybe she's trying a hybrid approach now - combination of positive and negative reinforcement (see B.F. Skinner re Behavior Mode) - this morning on the shows, she insists she is giving up. I wonder though. She might be just taking through March 4 to try to rehabilitate herself among Democrats for the future.

She's giving the last ditch sympathy vote. What happened to graceful and teamwork in the Democratic leaders of the party. Must we scratch kick and bite each other to the bitter end, just to be shown tough. We know tough. Hell, it's been 'tough' to take the quagmire of DC, for the last ten years on the People's issues.
It's tough to take the slutty media conglomerates child porno fantasy, by allowing such trashy videos and encouraging immoral behaviors.
Where are the learning shows, the schools are like the O K Coral, and children will soon have to learn from the computers to be safely educated.
I won't go that far, but there are links to homeschooling networks and I'm tempted if they don't get a handle on gun distribution in America.
Guns aren't toys yet, our children get pistols as young as three. The violence starts earlier and earlier. It has to stop.
We used to have the adult shows on at ten o'clock, not their on after school on Springer and other disfunctional profit shows.
No solutions, just exploit the problem. That's why I lke Oprah, she puts her money where her mouth is.
America too, must put her money where her mouth is, the hypocracy and neglect in the richest country in the world is pathetic.

11 STRAIGHT WINS AND COUNTING
We have won the last 11 primaries. We need to keep the momentum going. Let’s take it one step higher and march towards victory on March 4th in Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island. This means calling, canvassing, and keeping Sen. Obama’s campaign well funded to get his message across. Please continue to reach in your pockets and make an investment into this campaign. In the end, all our work will be worthwhile because Sen. Barack Obama will take his movement to the White House.

No concession - just double talk. And what misguided missile is looming behind her comment about her stand on the superdelegates issue? "that will sort itself out" ... be afraid - be verrry afraid!
Our only comfort is in the well displayed leadership of Barack Obama and his team. They are paying attention and taking notes.

I don't think that it was a concession, per se, but rather something more nuanced, as mentioned by a reporter on HuffPost.
I think that for the first time last night she acknowledged the increasingly likely possibility of losing the campaign. Just now on Hardball Andrea Mitchell mentioned that she believes the Clintons are looking hard at the possibility that they will be broke on March 5th, and that only wins in those states will help her gain funds and donations to move on.
It is gratifying to me to see (if this is indeed the case) that she actually does care more about the party than she does about satisfying her ego.
Now, let's get it done!!!

You are exactly right. Her whole thing last night was to create a media buzz. SHe is in it to the last. The Clinton campaign is hoping the OBama supporters let up off the throttle for just a little bit so she can get back in this. As earnestly as we have been prior to Wisconsin and the Potomac primaries, we must be until March 4. The states are up for grabs and every call, donation, volunteered hour and vote will make the difference.
Let the Clinton's talk and us continue to work. The people of this campaign are the difference makers that they have no answer for.

Concede?? Oh good grief, people! Not even close.
Work, work, work until he is nominated at the convention. NEVER LET UP.
If we are ahead by 10%, let's make it 20%. If we are ahead by 20%, let's get 40%! NEVER EVER STOP.
Does the marathon runner who's ahead by a few blocks take it easy because she's got it in the bag?
Does the running back slow down because he's ten yards ahead?
She won New Hampshire by TWO percent, and it's been spun as a victory ever since. And after the scam that was Vegas/Nevada, it was "momentum".
NEVER FORGET NEW HAMPSHIRE. She is still up 6-14% in Texas and Ohio. And two wins in two giant states, even by single digits, will be ALL OVER the news as The Comeback Girl. BANK ON IT.
We can lighten up (a little) when Barack gets the number of delegates.
We celebrate when she actually says, "I concede to my opponent" or the convention nominates him.
PLEASE.

When Barack Obama speaks I get this feeling like it's 1968 all over again, knowing I wasn't born back then, knowing that in this year of 2008 we are sick and tired of our current president.
I watched some videos of what 1968 was like and I look back at 1968,it's where we are now.
George Bush is like LBJ,a war criminal.GWB never cared about our soilders but himself. He only cared about himself.
HRC is like Hubert Humphrey.Cold hearted, mean and only cared about herself and will be a continuation of GWB.
John Mccain is like Richard Nixon,well....I won't go into that.
But Obama he's the next Bobby Kennedy and JFK of our nation. If HRC gets the nomination somehow, she will lose to Mccain.
Hope I didn't offend anyone.

I also wasn't born yet in 1968, and I always maintain that Bobby Kennedy is the best president we never had. I think Barack is even better. I said this at my caucus and a couple of old-timers came up to me and said this wasn't true... a couple others came up to me when they left and whispered that they think Barack is better.
Regardless, these are remarkable times.

Hi BlueCat.
I read the article and, while I'm absolutely agreeing with the sentiment that security of our man should be a #1 priority, I wanted to clarify some inaccuracies in the article and in your posting -- not to bash, but to keep rumors from distracting our focus of getting March 4th voting wrapped up for Obama.
The newspaper was the Star-Telegram (not Telegraph)in Fort Worth (not Dallas) and it was written about the rally in Dallas on Wednesday (not the debate in Austin).
I was there and the crowd of ~20,000 people who showed up on a Wednesday MORNING after having been given less than 48 hours notice of the rally was definitely more than I think anyone would have expected in that scenario. (I hope this serves as a warning to other rallies being planned that we're ALL ready to stand for change in person with Obama!)
Doors opened at 10:30am (should've opened around 7am in my opinion) and he was scheduled to speak at 12:00pm. Well, half of the crowd was still wound around and inside the parking garages well after 12:00pm -- in fact, we all thought he had begun already but hoping against hope we were wrong (Hope-mongers that we are!). A little after that, the Obama camp volunteers started telling everyone to hurry up and get inside -- cheering us on to make it fast. People were literally running (in formed lines -- how weird, huh?!) to get in and the Obama people were telling us he was holding the speech to allow everyone to get in. That being said, there's not a doubt in my mind the decision was made between all parties involved: Dallas P.D., Secret Service, and, most importantly, Barack Obama's own campaign staff.
I would like to hear an official word from the Obama campaign just to ease any conspiracy theories people may have about Dallas, my state, or the Secret Service -- or to justify them! I think that would be the most credible source of any story about a lapse in security and who made the decision to let everyone in before he started speaking.
LET'S GO, TEXANS! Let's wrap up the nomination on March 4th!

I'll contribute right here, my friend. :)
Nothing wrong with your remarks; I find nothing overly negative about them. I think you may be confusing the "feel-good experience" with something that does not permit realistic, though critical remarks. Where many folks get upset is when the tone is inappropriate. You are, in all likelihood, more likely to get flamed over on Kos than you are here.
I'll leave you with a quote from a book of mine, attributed to Andrew Jackson:
"Opposing views, moderately stated, are a critical part of democracy, and are always welcome here."
Be at peace.

Ok guys, we started this on another blog and I'm bringing it over here! Here are some pictures of us in Nevada trying to GOTV last month! Now who could possibly be rude to me with those babies staring up at them when we were knocking at their doors! My secret weapon on the campaign trail!!!
The others are of my daughter at the campaign office with John Kerry and of us at the rally that was at UNLV!.

I am a proud mom of six wonderful kids and for my kids, for your kids, and for our future I am asking that you please donate so I can reach my goal. Thank you so much for all of your support.

LEI OF ALOHA FOR Sen. Barack Obama
Help string a lei for our hometown son. Each donation represents a single flower. It takes 40 flowers to make lei. Be a part of stringing a lei with your donation. Once 40 donations have been made, the lei will be complete and it will appear on my fundraising page.
In Hawaii, a lei is given for many special occasions. Tomorrow night after the caucus will be a special night for our native son Barack Obama.
Please make a donation of any amount. No donation is too small.
Together we will create a Lei of Aloha for our next President of the United States.
Update: So far there are 32 flowers, need 8 more to complete the lei

Every one makes mistakes, but the Clinton high-handedness left a sour taste in my mouth. Can you imagine what they might do if given another White House opportunity? God is a just God indeed!

Donations needed! Hillary's campaign is trying to match Barack Obama's add buy in Ohio by trying to raise $2.2 million in the next 48 hours!
We *MUST* beat this! If they raise 2.2, we need to raise 4.4. Everybody donate what you can. Get your parents, children, cousins, friends, freinds' cousins, fellow Democrats, Independents, and Obamacans to make a donation! We must continue to out-fundraise the Clinton machine so that Barack can continue to eat away at her base in Ohio and Texas.
Donate and then make make some calls.... then get someone else to donate, and make more calls together! I'm spending my weekend getting donors (new and old) and making calls, will you join me? We can do this, everyone!
If you'd like (and I really HOPE you do :-) ) you can click on the link below and match my most recent $30 donation to help me reach my goal.

In Texas, Early voting has already begun and we need to have our encouragement out there now. We can make a difference, people have not seen Obama in full force yet leading the movement but they are already in line to go to vote.
Specially, if you are fluent in Spanish and a supporter of Obama, please grab the phone and call friends and family members in Spanish. Explain the issue to then in their native language.

Please be aware that u have been reported to the web administration. Pulling silly antics such as this only hurts your candidate and the democratic party's prospects in November.

Welcome Steve to the Freedom of speech Obama site, where any comment get posted whether you are for Obama or not, try posting anything on her site that is pro Obama and see if it get posted. This tells you why you should support Obama, he will respect your right of dissent, which his opponent by the action on her site of censoring dissent opinion on her site will not.
You see in Obama's administration everybody will have a seat at the table to discuss issues and find solutions not just those that we agree with, your concerns will be address in every decision of the government, apparently that is not what your candidate will do.

From the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, which is live-blogging the rally right now:
Local residents reported receiving live phone calls from their own neighbors who vowed their support of Obama and were urging others to do the same.
This is the difference, and this is where it counts. I received an automated call the other night from the other campaign. Real people explaining why Obama is the best person for the job is what is making the difference. Just wanted to share.

The attacks on BO by HRC that words are cheap, That all BO offers is just words and no substance, One way to counter these attacks is for the BO campaign to use the many examples and testimonials of voters of how they have been inspired by BO's inspiring words. For example the college student after hearing BO speak decided to go to Ethiopia and help with HIV. There are many examples which i think the campaign should have a testimonial link of how BO has inspired them to change their lives.
What do yall think.

Come on, all you hard workers. The Clinton website is trying to raise $2 Mio to be able to match our ad capacity, so let's pull together, strongly, and donate once more. Let's keep this momentum going, let's keep the message being spread, let's find all dimes and nickles (and a few hundreds ;-) and pull ahead so we can be proud of how massive our message is brought out. I have just posted another $100 for matching donations, an hour ago, and I was matched by at least 6 new donors. Even if we can give $5, as a matching gift, we will motivate another donor, to become a new donor, and have him/her start thinking about becoming a matching donor him/herself. I am so proud of all the workers I regularly see on here, let's do it!
I am looking so forward to spending most of my day tomorrow being on the phones to make calls to Texas and Ohio!
Thank you, all!

I think when first time blogers come to the site how many of us know what blog is but i am sure most of us know what chat is. so when 1st time visitors come to the site they know that they can actually chat. This way we keep new comers when they visit the site instead of them vsisting and then leaving. Our campaign has voters from all walks of life i was just keeping them ihn mind.

This may help I've come to the site looking for assitance and I've sent others, but mostly the conversation is so caught up with the regulars that a casual user or new person gets over looked and leaves with their question un answered.
This may be more encouraging to someone looking for clarity and/or just help.

MCcain is in trouble with the FEC for spending. That is great! Now Barack has some legs to stand on for not committing to public financing. The FEC is holding him to only spend 5 million dollars until Sept and he is trying to get out of it.
MCcain is Now saying he does not want public financing eventhough earlier this week he accused Obama of "Double speak" about wavering on public financing.

Barack was terrific yesterday IMO it was his best debate performance so far. I don't know why we don't see that side of him more often but hope it would come out more in the future. I think he used the debate to correct some of the falsehoods HRC and the media have been spreading about him. He was good. Watching the debate made me realized that HRC is not at all that strong. He defended his positions w/o taking the low road. It was about time, the media and HRC camp have said all kind of derigatory stuffs about BO. He is an empty suit, all talk and no substance etc... I wish he will go even more into this nonsense in the next debate and challenge the media to put his and HRC senate accomplishments out there for everyone to judge for themselve. He has to fight HRC but also the media.
Go Barack

I'm making more calls to Texas tomorrow. Let's make sure Texas knows Barack's the best candidate so we can get the Democratic nomination.
To volunteers that are making calls, please please please remember to let people know about Barack's past accomplishments (especially in the Senate) to counter the argument that he doesn't have enough experience.
Here's a list of Barack's bills that have passed (Scroll down):

And you can find more here:

Along with my phonebanking, I also created a fundraising page. This is as much as I can do while I'm on bed rest from a car accident I was in a couple weeks ago.
