In just four days, America will head to the polls with a chance to make history. However, if we want to see Barack Obama on the winning side of history, it’s time to pull together and do as much as we can from now until Election Day as we begin our Get Out The Vote campaign.
Lisa of Eatontown, New Jersey has already seen first hand how effective you can be by making phone calls from home.
One of my most memorable calls was with an 83 year old man named Jesse who lived in Western Pennsylvania. We talked for over a half hour, about politics and music and life. I realized that one of the more unique things about making these phone calls is that you get introduced to people you might never cross paths with.
This morning, we began our final Get Out The Vote calling campaign. We now have just a few days to contact millions of voters in battleground states across the country. Lisa has been using the shifting poll numbers to stay motivated.
When I heard the plea from Governor Ed Rendell to have Barack come back because he was concerned about Pennsylvania, I picked up the phone and started making calls into Pennsylvania immediately.
Lisa has made over 1,300 phone calls to date, and she'll be calling again today. This election is too important for anyone to sit on the sidelines.
To get started, just select the state you'd like to call on our national call map.
Your calls are a crucial part of our plan to get all of our supporters out to the polls to cast their vote. We have four days left to make a difference.
You can also check in on fellow callers to see how the day's calls have been going. And if you've been making GOTV calls today, let us know what you're hearing on the phones and any tips you might have for fellow callers . . .
