BraveNewPAC has started a petition demanding that John McCain stop using hatred, baiting and other such filth on the campaign trail.
This is my posted comment:
Senator McCain,From the first time I was introduced to you at the age of 15 through CSPAN and other media outlets, I had a tremendous amount of respect for your (former) positions and (former) heroism.That respect is lost now.Senator McCain, you were victimized during the 2000 campaign by vicious smears and lies. One would think that a former victim of such filth with any sense of dignity would do anything in their power to prevent another human being from enduring it in the future. "One" would be wrong.Your heroism, your once respectable stances on the issues, as well as your desire to serve our great nation, have now taken a back seat only to your political ambition. This saddens me.Beyond this, you have now resorted to baiting your audiences through suggestive and hateful rhetoric - even to the point where they are audibly making death threats to your opponent. Not only have you ignored and refused to repudiate these disgusting calls, you continue to stoke the fire along with your running mate (yet another reason I have lost my respect for you - but that's for another day).John - can I call you John? - please bring back your dignity and your honor by first repudiating these abhorrent and illegal threats and then by controlling your own campaign and refusing to stand for hateful and hate-inspiring speech on the stump.I trust you will make the right decision.
