This letter I send to my american friends:
Dear friends, even if politics has been rarely in our conversation or casual email exchanges, I decided to write to you now because I really see that the USA has a rare opportunity NOW to have a decent president if Barack Obama gets to the White House.
I know this is very difficult, many stumps and barriers are in the way ahead. Nevertheless, since I know that there are hardly impossible tasks when people really wants to bring dreams into reality.
I decided to do my part in this task. NOT being myself a US citizen, I am sure you will be doing at least as much as I am doing in this great task.
One of the very few things I can do is to share with my american friends and acquaintances my present conviction that this is really a unique opportunity that is right NOW in the air. If we act NOW the dream can be brought to reality.
In a matter of only few weeks this dream either be closer to fruition or gone.
I feel an urgency to act NOW. If you share my understanding of the moment and what is at stake now, please join in the effort. You should be able to know what is the right action for you.
If you can connect with this sense of urgency coupled with feasibility, then you may become players in this epic tale and not only spectators. I think you can get in touch with your friends to spread the sense of urgent action, you can see what else you can do in your state before and during the primaries, you can participate as volunteers with Barack, make calls, of help fundraising. You may as well find other venues of action.
At the end of this message that I am writing to you in my "not so good" english and completely out of a personal initiative, you will find some links I have collected to help you started. Please ACT now if you feel and think Obama is the best option at hand that has real posibilities to go to the White House.
If you haven't really check out who Barack Obama is, go to the links and learn about him. I have read about him, seen some of his speeches, see debates and also talked to other people and I have come to the conclusion that this effort is worth to be undertaken.
Un abrazo cordial amigos! JC

--- something I found in the web you may want to read:"An Epic Tale in the MakingTo make a tale an epic, defeat must be looming, the odds must be long, success improbable. Adversity is the fire that forges will and resolve, whereas success can breed complacency and rob the spirit of passion. The lessons learned in defeat or failed expectations are the very lessons that have propelled historic movements throughout the ages, for victory achieved with ease rings hollow, but victory achieved in the face of defeat, against seemingly insurmountable odds, these are the things that inspire the stories told for generations. History has a way of making us remember the important stories of time. Barack Obama has never been on a journey that wasn't improbable. Is there any better journey to be on? Enjoy the ride!"
