Right now it's 14 degrees in Grand Forks, North Dakota. But ND's Caucus Director, Matt Weinstein is undaunted:
"The weather is chilly, but North Dakota is fired up!"
Last week the North Dakota campaign kicked off with a series of organizing meetings and caucus trainings entitled "Got Hope?" There were great turnouts -- from high school students to retired farmers to Native Americans -- in Grand Forks, Minot, Bismarck, and Fargo. "This is a national election," Matt said on the news. "It's important that we don't leave states behind, particularly states that have been put in this box as being 'red' states."
Every attendee filled out a blank map of North Dakota, saying why they support Barack. Allan, an Iraq War vet from Fargo, wrote, "We need and deserve a new brand of leadership." Ginger, a retired teacher from Mandan, wrote, "His is the face America should show the rest of the world." And Danielle, a student at Minot State wrote:
