This is the first time... the very first time...
It's the first time I've made phone calls, offered to stand out in the middle of the intersection to hold up a banner with a candidate's name on it, or talked my relative's ears off in praise of him.
And when people ask me why, I am now going to say "A More Perfect Union." This speech has been compared to JFK's speech on religion in politics, Abraham Lincoln's inaugural address, and I have to say that it is something more than those speeches to me, because I was privilaged enough to witness it myself, live on CNN.
I represent that generation of Americans who have waited all their lives to be inspired like this, and because I saw this speech I am more inspired than ever to make phone calls, etc...
