Barack just gave an amazing speech at the AIPAC conference. This is a must see. Jewish brothers and sisters, what did you think of the speech?

Yes, I was incredibly impressed by what Obama said. His stand on the unity of Jerusalem was exceptionally strong, even for a Democratic candidate. Bush's war in Iraq has only strengthened Iran, the most serious enemy Israel has. We need to make sure McCain never takes office if we want to reverse this trend.
It also bothers me that certain posters on this site are miserable trolls. Unlike the Clinton website where it's very difficult to get a post up, this place allows free expression. Overall that is good, but certain people take advantage! Witness the guy just above me and his comments.... I don't doubt that there are a few "crackpot blogs" on the site, but generally I am impressed both with Barack's stand on Israel and the warmth of his supporters.
My daughter and I are conservative, my husband and son orthodox (which is why I am the one posting on Shavuot and not my husband!). Our children attend Jewish schools. My son is fluent in Hebrew, and my daughter plans to do a year in Israel when she finishes high school. The whole family is deeply involved in the Jewish community.
We are all staunch supporters of Barack, and have fought back against the viral attacks that have been circulating ad nauseam by email. It saddens me that these fear tactics would be used or listened to by Jews. Of all people, we know what lies can do. Moreover, it is loshon hora, which is one of the biggest sins you can commit...the prohibition against repeating gossip, even "truthful" gossip, when the person is not there to defend himself.
