The purpose of this debate was Hillary's chance to knock Barack off his stride, have him make a serious blunder-did she accomplish that? NO!

She was to frame her responses in such a way as to diminish his stance on the issues and draw support and voters away from him, did she accomplish that? NO!

She was to have pushed her position on the issues in such a way as to create a superior distinction to Barack's where they differed, did she accomplish that? NO!

She was to address contentious campaign issues while maintaining her poise and grace as she did during the closing of the last debate, did she accomplish this? NO!

She was to have won this debate so decisively as to put an end to the vaunted Obama momentum, did she accomplish that? NO!

Game, Set, Match = Obama, no ifs, ands or buts!

YES, WE CAN!!!

She was all up in arms that he wouldn't debate her. She was counting on winning. She wanted five more originally, if I recall. Can you imagine the agony of 3 more of these groaners. I mean, she loses, plain and simple. Every time.

It was Obama who didn't jump yippie skippy to have these TWO debates, perhaps to spare the party or her feelings, who knows, and still won with ease.

I think it was more like ten more, once per week. She even wanted one on Fox News! I'm glad the Campaign only agreed to two more. Twenty's a nice, even number. (There are only six General Election debates, to put that in perspective.)

like Russert pointed, when he asked about Russia she jumped at the question. The question was a toss up. Usually, you want to answer first, specifically if you have similar position so it will not sound like you repeating.
She was ridiculous and got booed again.

and what about the fact that she did not even know Medvedev's name?!:) If the moderator did not help her out, she would not be able to say more than the letter "M". Aftewards, Clinton says "whatever" and I take offense to that:) Russia is an important ally and the next president's name should not be referred to as "whatever".

that's why i like the coolness of president Obama! Denounce is a much stronger word than Reject...but since Hillary was so eager to chip in he accepted her 'reject'. i'm pretty sure her advisors will tell her the depth of 'denouncing someone as against rejecting.'

Barack didn't get drawn into the fray by the moderators or Hillary and made good points ... wonderful.

I want to thank over a million of you for what you have done and are doing to change politics and presidents. Some have given much more than money for over a year now. We can't rest, but we can acknowledge you, thank you, congratulate you and ourselves for bringing about this change. This important change (of presidents) is just the beginning of many more public-driven changes to come with President Obama.

Actually, she did him a great favor by doing this...

she's focused on the question: "reject support"

Obama (being a realist) says he cannot control what the guy says or does, but seriously denounces the stance and finds it reprehensible.

So she tries to score point by saying, "You know what (whine) I actually will say YES, I WOULD REJECT SUPPORT - because I already did it! When I was running for the Senate (hooray for me - it's a direct answer). So what do you have to say about that, Barack.

I about fell off my chair. It was almost like she was giving up, or maybe I'm reading more into it than it was. However, regardless of what we think of her, she has always been prepared, did her homework, etc., and I was simply stunned to see her stumble over how to pronounce his name and just "give up" and say "whatever".

She said, and I quote, "Putin does not have a soul"
Regardless of your feelings, you do not say that about a world leader, especially one thats trying to be the opposition to US

I think Edwards will come this way. He has seen too many people's careers shredded by the Clinton machine. They use and discard their supporters and leave them tainted with all their scandals. John isn't that foolish!

And I think it would have been easiest for richardson to go to clinton given their past connections - but Richardson knows what working with the Clintons was like. If even sitting and watching the Superbowl with Bill didn't sway him, I have to believe he will eventually come over to Obama.

News asked Richardson what he meant by calling Clinton's technique with himself "carpet baombing." He seemed to almost complain that both Clintons, and virtually all their family and friends have called him about an endorsement.

He mentioned and seemed to express appreciation for the "surgical" style that Barack brought to his request. He called direct, Richardson says. He did not get someone asking him to wait for Obama to come on line.

Who knows how he'll vote or if he'll endorse, but he soudned peeved with the Clintons.

Obama just backed down from being liberal. I wish he'd just accept that he is one and start defining it himself instead of letting Republicans define it.
