His speech was wonderful!

****OBAMA IS BACK****
That was the Obama I have been missing! He seemed energized and back on point! I was stating to worry about him. It seemed like the attacks and the "fake controversies" were getting to him. His message hadn't diminished but it seemed like his spirit was starting to. I am so glad and proud! I think we need to give Hillary the one, two punch. I don't know about you, but I'm going to donate in honor of my renewed spirit. Hillary "claimed" she got 10 Mill in 24 hours after her win in Penn, I know we can do better. I can't give much but I'll do my part. Come on Indi!!! I know you can deliver!

(repost in case you missed it)
How The Obama Campaign Changed My Life
Last month I drove the seven hours to Pennsylvania to volunteer for Obama. I was one of the 35,000 people cheering for Obama at the rally Philadelphia, and I canvassed in Harrisburg, Scranton and Reading. I returned home because I was painfully aware that I was spending my rent money on gas, and I just couldn't afford another fill up.
On the Obama blog, the night of the April 22 primary, I posted my regrets that I couldn't donate because I found myself $300. short on my rent. The next morning, an email shocked me. A fellow Obama supporter saw my post and offered to buy one of my Obama necklaces for $300. I was totally overwhelmed, since I was laid off and the job hunt wasn't going well at all.
As we emailed back and forth, her story really moved me. Born in Iran, she'd lived in England for many years before winning a visa lottery to come to America. She's the only Iranian I've ever known. She embodies Obama's message of unity, and the kindness she showed me, a total stranger, is something this whole campaign should be proud of. One of the major reasons she supports Barack is her staunch opposition to attacking Iran. I'll be devastated if Hillary gets a chance to "obliterate Iran" or McCain gets to sing his twisted song "bomb bomb bomb Iran" in the Oval Office.
So, I want to do more to get Obama elected.
In addition to the logo necklace Afsaneh wanted, I made two custom necklaces using a photograph I took of Barack in Philadelphia. One, I sent to the beautiful Afsaneh, and one, I've put up on ebay
Link
for Obama. 100% of the sale price of this one-of-a-kind necklace will go directly to Obama for America.

Oh, and yes, I paid my rent on time. It felt amazing.

I urge everyone to contact any super-delegate they can in their state, especially those states which Barack has won and let them know...it's time they pledge to Barack. I'm from Colorado and have let the Gov. know. I'm working on finding out who and how to contact the others. I'm so ready to have Barack run against McCain, we are ready to change this country back to what it should be. Barack has the vote of the "United States" not the "states" of America. So, no matter what state please contact those S.D's and urge them to vote for Barak Obama.

Ok don't jump down my throat too much for this, but think about what I propose here.
Although I very much want Senator Obama to win in Indiana, a win by Senator Clinton will be more beneficial to Senator Obama. How is that you ask?
Well;
• Indiana is a "small" state.
• Indiana traditionally votes Republican.
When Senator Clinton claims it as a definitive win, she will be conceding to two of our points that we have won more of the "small" states AND we have the potential to alter other traditional Republican states.

It's being pushed by the clinton campaign... harold ford is in the clinton camp and he is the one that I heard it from first. Now with the election not working out for her tonight she will push to have the ticket where she is on top. Then when that does not work, like last time, she will try to make it appear that he should have her as his VP in order to make the dream team. When that does not work she will have her supporters screaming for it, and the Fl and MI delegates, to make it seem as Barack is snubbing her.
The clinton operation chaos to split party so she can try again in 2012.

OREGON "UPDATE" |
Report to Admin
By
James Brown.....Proudly Voted For President Obama !
May 6th 2008 at 9:25 pm EDT
Oregon is voting already , we have 100% mail in ballots. We have been this way for 10 years or so and have this mail in thing down to a science. You can mail your ballot in , drop it into an elections ballot drop box "like a US mail box" , or you can hand deliver it to the county elections office. All ballots must be signed , and they scan the signatures to match the one on your voter registration. Plus we are a closed primary , only registered Democrats can vote.
Today i got to cast my vote for OBAMA and it was really an emotional experience for me. I took it over to place in a ballot drop box , and it was amazing how many people were backed up waiting to place there ballots in the drop box. There is a bunch of people getting there ballots cast early. On May 20th as soon as our polls close they will be able to call Oregon.
Almost everyone i know is voting for Obama , including 7 votes in my immediate family. Even my 73 year old "hardcore" Republican Sister changed her registration to vote for Obama.
Obama has 35,000 Campaign Volunteers to Clinton's 5,000 volunteers "State Wide".
OREGON IS OBAMA !

Thank you so much voters of North Carolina and Indiana! With your ballots, and with your hearts, you have told America and the world that the era of divisive, do-anything, say-anything politics is ending, that the era of red states and blue states are over, and that change is coming to the UNITED States of America with Barack Obama in the White House!
Everyone that worked so hard, staff and volunteers, in these two states, and in all the states before it, deserve our love and thanks for making this moment possible. We are so close to the nomination - and with more faith, and with more hard work, we will get there, and we will make Barack Obama the next President of the United States.

I will say this again, SHE'S Beautiful. That dress is NOT, it clashes with her husbands blue tie, and it pushes her abdomin out, which is not what women want to she when she's dressing.
She never dresses appropriately for any occassion and she needs a stylist. With that say, I think they make a good couple, but she can use a hair stylist and a designer to help her dress better and for specific occassions.

How can she continue this fight down as much as she is in NC and only holding a 4% and dwindling lead in IN? This is ridiculous and more about an ego trip than a presidential race. It's time the supers call the ball and put this thing to bed.
Obama understands the issues of the gas prices and that a tax holiday will not solve the problem. Hillary seems to continue to flunk math by just moving the tax up the line. In the end the oil companies will just raise the price to compensate. Yea, I want a brain like that in Washington. Even Alice Rivlin thinks it's stupid.

I love her, but she needs some help in the area of dressing based up on the occassion. I have seen her in many situations and OMG...she needs help big time in that area.

MartisaHussein4Obama, I have to agreed with you on this one tonight. Michelle has had her terrifc moments of dressing, but I didn't like her dress tonight for the same reasons. For her skin tone, the color peach works (I am the same skin tone), but the dress itself did not. It exposed her belly and butt to much. You know Sista's got the butt! She needs to stick with suits, be it pants or dresses. She has a model-type body, so she can work the suits. I would love to work as her Fashion Coordinator. She got a B+ tonight from me, but she was still lovely as usual.

When my own Dad prefers me with a short crop hair style, then I knew was on to something. And he is a minister :). Michelle is lovely either way, but a short bomb, would be sexy and chic....jazzy.

May 6th 2008 at 9:42 pm EDT
Even if we don't pull a win out of Indiana , it's going to be so close that ( Clintons money is going to simply dry up ) !
And if she does some how hang on until May 20th , here is what she has to look forward to,
Oregon is voting already , we have 100% mail in ballots.

If we can talk about any kind of forgiveness at any level and any point of time then forgiveness should be inspired with (in her case A LOT) of honest appologies. This should not be a big problem for because we know she will say ANYTHING in order of purpose. But then we still have undeniable problem that WE CAN'T GO OVER and it calls:

We won NC significantly and overwhelmingly and kept her below 5%. The SD's will be saying okay, time to end this. They're going to flock to us, the money will keep flocking to us...and we'll be gearing up for the General.

I have to say that I have lost a measure of respect for John Edwards - I have always held him in high standing. When Senator Clinton started preying on NC and IN voters most in need with her 'gas tax holiday', I expected him to stand up for his consituency.
This was an intentional deception aimed at those who are in the most desperate of econimic situations. She knows it won't work and she never intended to take any action to make it happen -- it was calculated, deceptive, insulting, and disrespectul to the voters of both states.
John Edwards has always worked for those least able to stand up for themselves. I would have expected him to be just as irate as most of us at her ridiculous politics at the expense of his consistuents. I thought his values were stronger than this.
I am not sure I care too much about his endorsement any more -- I think we can do it without him.
Very disappointed in John Edwards' silence.

I do admire a politician for loving his wife that much. At least he's not cold. It's O.K. with me if Edwards is cranky during this transition in his life. In 8 years he will be a better man. Dream ticket being pushed by the clinton camp... harold ford said on MSNBC tonight that she and Barack should run together to unify the party. ford is in the clinton camp and has been from the beginning. Now with the election not working out for her tonight she will push to have the ticket where she is on top. Then when that does not work, like last time, she will try to make it appear that Barack should have her as his VP in order to make the dream team. When that does not work she will have her supporters screaming for it, and the Fl and MI delegates, to make it seem as Barack is snubbing her.
The clinton operation chaos to split party so she can try again in 2012.

u guys, help. she's on, she's gloating. her voice won't shut up. but i'm hearing from the heavens: learn from her and she once again will become our sister. we will once again feel oneness with her and her psycho-seeming supporters. we will understand and be able to love her. it will be the learning to understand, to feel love for, hitler.
okay u guys, the heavens are saying, Learn from this moment. see how funny she now seems, making up her cheating little girl rules, her spoiled little sister rules that never quite get her anywhere.
learn how she actually manipulates a layer of reality by telling her own chosen story perpetually. watch where she uses anger and how it changes the game. people are scared of her anger. we will use passion in place of anger but -- omg i've got to turn it off. her voice, her voice.

I think Claire McCaskill would be a great VP. She's a woman and she has shown a true loyalty to the campaign. Harold Ford Jr. has lost it. He just wants to make everyone happy but this is politics. Obama needs a candidate thats going to encompass his values and vision for this country and Clinton has really ruined that. I think 3 months ago that would have been an option but not any more. Only 47% of North Carolina voters found her to be trustworthy. We need change!

With Hillary's OBVIOUS LUST for POWER (and probably with an extreme Feminist Agenda? - I might add), I must say I feel "unsettled" for Obama's safety, IF Hillary is on the ticket as VP, and I hope (oh God) this is just me with by "fears".

As you all know, HRC will stay in the race because, as it is for the war in Iraq, she entered in it without thinking about or planning for an exit strategy. But it's becoming very clear who the democratic nominee is going to be. Congrats to BO and Michelle for working so hard even today going out to meet people...
We should not forget that we have 8 remaining contests to win. And those that we will not win, we should fight to keep the margins very narrow.
You deserve to celebrate tonight. But tomorrow, we should engage in the continued fight for winning this nomination. Canvass, volunteer, call, and donate.

No, it is not over, far from over whenever a Clinton is in the race. Telling the truth about HRC's record has nothing to do with HRC supporters. Many of her supporters in Ohio thought OBAMA was responsible for NAFTA. It is irresponsible for anyone to let that kind of misconception stand, which potentially would cause working families to vote against their own interest. Telling the truth consistently is our obligation all the time to everyone.

I am so happy right now I could scream! My only regret is that my dad died last month before he could cast a vote for BO. You see, he was 90 yrs old and each election he would tell me not to get my hopes up because the electoral college would appoint the next president. However, at his 90th birthday celebration last November, he said to me, 'looks like we got a new President, I hope I will be alive to vote for him.' Sadly, he lived in Michigan and never got to cast that vote. Tears will stream down my face as I cast that vote in his memory in November. YES WE CAN!

Earlier today I posted the following post:

Dear all:
I've started a 'group' called OBAMA with candles for Obama.
Please join me in lighting a candle for him. May God grant the paved path of success tonight and for the general election.
All you have to do is click on the link and then click on a non-lit candle. Follow the instructions and before you know it, you would have lit a candle for our next President! WOOHOO!
Link
***IMPORTANT***
Make sure that the top of the page says GROUP OBAMA because someone hacked this link earlier so that when you clicked, it went to the HRC Group instead (UGH!). If it's NOT GROUP OBAMA, click here:
Link
and under GROUP SEARCH, type in OBAMA.
I also created a group for the people of Myanmar called Mynmr (few letters allowed). While at the site, you may also want to light a candle for the people of Myanmar.
Link
. Same thing applies...if it doesnt say GROUP MYNMR on top, click on
Link
and under GROUP SEARCH type in MYNMR.
May their government allow the international community to help their citizens. May the people of Myanmar have the courage to endure this horrible tragedy.
Kay
*****************
I sure do hope those candles helped him!!!! Feel free to light another one.
Hugs,
Kay
