The debacle (debate) was a sham and I am glad Obama DID not stoop to their leading questioning.

Let ABC know how angry and bitter we are. We can change things at the grassroots level. Write a letter, email, call ABC protesting the debate and the non-issue questioning.

We ARE the BLUEPRINT for change. WE are the MILLIONS of VOICES CALLING for it.

Help try and get Barack Obama to THE NUMBER ONE SPOT!!! Make sure to move the bar to 100 before voting!!!

When I made this post Barack Obama was sitting at 35 on the list.
He is now up to 6 thanks to you all (That is 29 spots we moved him working as a team).
There has been over 9,000 new votes since I began posting this and hope we can get 200,000 people to vote for Barack Obama the average vote has gone from 49 up to 54.
That is a 9 point increase in 2 days, but we still have 9 points to go to top number 1.
It’s up to us to bring change so try to email 5 friends and get them to vote for Obama too.

Yup, he's right. I was frustrated that he was restraining himself so much in the debate, but as his comments point out, this is clearly because he (unlike Tonya-Rocky-Annibilly!) does not feel that outright attacks against someone who IS SUPPOSEDLY ON THE SAME TEAM are appropriate.

Maybe after Hillary loses and goes back to the Senate she'll switch to Republican -- it actually suits her style better.

Enough of silly season! If I were Barack, I wouldn't allow the media to pull me into those dirty politics they're calling debates. I hope I'm not out in left field, but it seems to me, Barack doesn't owe anybody a debate. Debates are a privilege, not a right! If I were him, from now on, I'd sat the ground rules! I'd ask the networks to send in advance to both candidates a general outline of the questions the moderators are going to ask. If I were Barack, I'd make it clear to the media that I'd fully covered the Rev. Wright, bitter comments, Farrakan, and flag pin, etc issues in other venues, and these questions are not allowed in further debates. If I were Barack, I'd tell the media that the American people deserve better--they deserve to hear the candidates discuss real issues on health, the economy, the war and so forth. If the media can't agree to and abide by these terms, if I were Barack, then I would'nt agree to a debate with that network! Barack should reach the voters through ads, rallies, mailers and bus tours, etc., and let the media and opponents have silly season by themselves!!!

I believe Obama would have fit right in among Madison, Jefferson, Washington, Franklin and the other founding fathers.

He understands where we came from as a country, has a better understanding of what the situation is now, and has the best show at moving the country to reestablish our greatness at home and abroad.

As I've mentioned in other posts on this blog, you would not hire a mechanic that did not first know your car is broken, nor one that knew it was broken but didn't know why. A mechanic without that knowledge will suggest replacing various parts and may break other things in the process... and you end up with a broken car and a large bill.

McCain doesn't know the car is broken, and only recently understood that the economy was misfiring. Clinton knows the car is broken but has no idea how it got that way (a trillion here nad a trillion there, and pretty soon you are talking about a lot of money - to paraphrase McNamera of the V.N. war era). Clinton doesn't see the effects of the excesive influence of lobbyists, nor the price that her vote on the war has had, in lives and in dollars. Clinton simply suggests replacing parts of our broken car hoping that one of the changes fixes the problem.

Obama is the only candidate that not only knows that the car would break (eg. Iraq war predictions) , knows what is wrong (eg. excessive lobbyist influence) but also knows how to fix the car so it the problem won't come back.

Einstein is credited with saying "The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them. "

Obama clearly presents a higher level of thinking.

i urge all of you supporters who have invested both emotionally and financially, to join me in the following:

-as we have experienced, every move every word uttered by Barack is scrutinized,we are very tired of the back and forth from both the candidates which is made worse by the press.who is his adviser? i know Americans, Obama should tone down on showing(the dusting thing was not a smrt move). most people do follow the campaign and know about Clinton. the way he answered when asked about Bosnia in the debate is the way he should answer to petty issues. people are hurting and its not a good strategy to remind them too much of the squabbles. they are hungry for a leader, act presidential all the time
- i cannot help but everyday i think of the guy who gave him a flag pin- cant Obama wear it just for us?what about the guy in Ohio who was interviewed by CBS?
-he should call his presidency our presidency and our WH
- we also deserve a weekly address by web cam on this site
-the webmaster should be finding the polls out there and providing a link here so we can vote

Obama should be scripted and be prepared all the time for tough questions and he should give more details of his plans(abit more specific)

No Stacey, I disagree! Let Barack be free. If he wanted to have all of the authenticity and genuiness knocked out of him he would have stayed in the senate until such time. I don't want a president who has to be afraid to speak out against evil and wrong. Why do you think charlie and geoge did what they did last knight? They wanted to bring him down a notch or evey destroy his spirit. Take it from me, neither he nor you or I would be anything without the Spirit.

Please pray for Barack. Put as much time, effort and sincerity in prayer as you do in this type of blog and I can assure you everything else will fall in line.

I will say that last night, my mother suggested that the flag pin presentation was a set up. It was touching, but the timing is just too perfect...just like the 2 week old release of his statements in San Francisco.

For the past month, these alleged controversies have been heavily scripted...the media, the Clinton machine, and the Republicans have all been on the same page with their criticisms. The flag pin nonesense was not viewed as a touching moment, but on the contrary, was used to buttress the argument that Obama is an unpatriotic, Manchurian Muslim candidate. I hate that this primary has made me into a bit of a conspiracy theorist, but there are strange things happening.

Barack knows what to do in a debate, and I don't care what any media person says, he handled himself well. So what if he didn't attack back. He is beyond that with hiLIARy. He is sick of it and wants to talk about what we the american people want to know about, the issues at hand. I think he was hijacked and all the issues they keep bringing up and digging up are not relevant to me as a voter.

I know Barack was uncomfortable last night and it made me think of his poor mother that he had to watch die early of cancer. How proud she would be of him. He is a different kind of candidate. What is wrong with that MSM! On the morning thread I can't remember who said this, but they said that "you can't buy integrity." No you can't hiLIARy, she'll never have it. The integrity seed was already planted by Baracks upbringing and it has made him the man he is today. I applaud him for his performance last night as I feel he took the high road, and by what the polls are saying it was the right thing to do. I pray that he will have an easy climb to the White House.

When people who thought of themselves as patriots put those yellow magnetic ribbon stickers on their vehicles I was annoyed.When I came out of Walmart one day to find one on the tailgate of my old beat up Dodge I was indignant.I showed my patriotism by both voting against Bush and being very vocal about what a mistake it was going to be to send those kids to die in Iraq. I know one person who is never without one on her car and her reply to my argument for the lives of those service men and women,"they knew what they were getting into when they signed up". I have no use for that kind of patriotism.I was so proud when Barack was brave enough to teach that lesson when it would have been far easier to pander.He's a real leader!

We should be taking advantage of the one-stop early voting opportunity...

We should be hitting Colleges, churches, and doing "Rally Ride-Overs" to the polling places after the rallies. We have to get folks to the polls--especially when they're fired up(like me)!

I can see buses of people from all different backgrounds, colors, creeds, and economic levels riding to the polls in droves if done correctly.

This should be done after every rally.

Am I the only one thinking like this?

Dear Obama Supporters

Take one step back and it is difficult not to smile wryly at what the ABC tried to do in the debate. A lot of expectation and emotional energy on this side was invested in the event and that means we risk suffering an equal measure of disappointment unless we recognise the opportunity we gained.

No one saw a debate. All we were witness to, was a clumsy attempt at a premeditated media ambush. Fortunately the ABC ploy backfired. Actually we should thank them, it allowed their target Barack Obama to win another important moral victory without having to spend one advertising dollar.

Unfortunately as Barack clearly understood, it was the voters who were again denied. A serious debate is supposed to allow people to compare the attitudes and policy positions of the respective candidates. And hell will freeze over before the Clinton connections in the US media will allow that.

Solution: More quality Radio and TV advertising funded by increased fund raising. In the present environment, that is the only sure way to get Barack's unpolluted message to the people of America. Wednesday was only a dress rehearsal for what is to come. Once more up to the breach dear friends! Go Obama .. Come November .. Yes we can.

I appreciate your loyalty but suggest we follow Barack's example and brush it off. Stay positive and avoid throwing the kitchen sink at those with whom we disagree.

Instead of spending time and energy with negatives go to blogs and post positive things about Barack and this campaign ..... get busy and make phone calls, write letters to editors that say why you support Barack.

My slant today is asking people to think: Senator Clinton says she will fight for you and your families. Senator Obama says he will involve us all in changing the way government works.

On March 18, a TV host, Stephen Colbert, issued a challenge to the supporters of both candidates to participate in assisting to fill the requests of individual teachers from Pennsylvania schools to provide specific resources for classrooms. Pennsylvania teachers made requests through Donors Choose. The goal was $66,000 for each candidate. The supporters responded.

By today, April 17, more than 2,240 Obama supporters have contributed in excess of $155,600 to touch more than 32,600 of our children and grandchildren. Yes we ARE indeed! Lots of us are working REALLY hard here in NC. I've been volunteering with the campaign office here since day 1. We've been having organizational meetings, rallying, and registered TONS of voters. In fact, I worked at the rally today (which btw was Magnificent!!!). I was greeted by BO twice during the rally, AND he signed my book for me (The Audacity of Hope)..I'm quite satisfied!!! :) Some of you may already be aware that today was the first day of early voting in NC. Anyway, when the rally was over, the campaign had VANS out in the parking lot for workers to DRIVE attendees to the BOE to vote AND bring them BACK to their vehicles at the Fairgrounds where the rally was held. We had a blast!!! Of course I voted today...I have my sticker to prove it...lol

From yesterday's debate: recall him begin “Senator Clinton's pastor...” and he indeed stopped there. He CHOSE NOT TO CONTINUE, in the same ways as his 3 opponents. Stacy, A person of integrity does not need to play even the smallest of deceitful games such as wear a flag pin to prove they are patriotic!

The vet gave BO the flag-pin and BO put it on and wore it for that day as a gesture of respect. He freaking doesn't wear flag-pins. So if he starting wearing one regularly then he would be scrutinized as a fake--and then what about the day he does take it off after a few weeks of wearing it just to please someone else's idea of Patriotism? Good Grief. Please could we just once elect an intelligent and dignified human being as POTUS. If you ask him to wear a stupid flag-pin, then others want him to shoot quail, then they want him to guzzle down shots of moonshine, then they want him to wear plaid and yuck it up with a cigar making fun of world leaders...where does the insanity end!

He has called it our presidency and our whitehouse.

You don't script one who tells the truth and has a soul!

He is a Presidential.

Hillary is hoisting herself on her own patard!

Like on Colbert with Michelle. He asked her who she was going to vote for. That was one of the funniest ones I have ever seen. When he was walking around the museum, and he asked if he could touch Thomas Jefferson's walking stick. He did it on the sly. I still laugh when I think about that.

He showed respect for the colleague of the Democratic Party--HRC and will bring out his LEO on the GOP. He is a Class Act! No downing 2 whiskey shots and a beer chaser to prove he is down with the people (great role model HRC!-not), no rusty flag pin wearing to prove he is patriotic!

If any of you don't know already, LEOs have a slow burn, then Wham! A Right Hook!--well in this case a Left Hook!
