it appears at times that the media especially fox news takes great pride in bashing senator obama on the smallest of things to distort the original view of his message. when will the message of stop racism enter the hearts and mind of the people. after obama speech i believe it fell on some deaf ears especially some of the staff at fox news.
"we dont believe in the truth only distortions".
i will not purchase items from sponsors who support this type of media bias.

Boycott does't work, never worked, I don't think it will.

The way I see it, Faux news try to differentiate themselves because they perceived the rest of the msm are obama-lovers, so they have to be Obama-bashers.

I dislike the tone they've taken and I think Fox & friends are no more than a bunch of saliva-spraying, mouth-foaming talkin heads.

It's all about the ratings, FOX or any other station can rant all they want.

Boycott does work - it helped end Apartheid in South Africa as students divested from companies doing business in South Africa - it all started with a boycott.

A more effective boycott would be to pick two or three companies that rely on small continuous sales rather than large sales.

I think boycotting Crest and Best Buy would be effective because they are stores/products that people shop at on a regular basis (rather than a auto dealer)

So - here it is calling all Obama supporters to boycott Crest and Best Buy until Fox News hires some journalists.

It is very disappointing to see these negative comments about Fox News. There are many stories on Fox that the liberal news agencies never touch. Truth is, recently when a count was made on liberal verses conservative guests and stories, the number was VERY close but there was a slight advantage for the number of liberal guests. It seems that those that don't want the conservative view and liberal view presented with out the bias you see on many other media sources, they can't handle it when it is, I'm sorry to say. I don't want any candidate given a free ride without real scrutinty. -- GO FOX!!!

I'm in the news business. Fox may add "liberal" guests or "liberal" stories to their rundowns but quantity checklists are not the point. It's the nuance in their reporting that is decidedly conservative--rather, geared toward the Republican viewpoint. That is NOT unbiased or fair and, in the very powerful world of network media, it's corrupt and frightening. ONE simple example:

A couple of days ago, they presented a survey of "registered voters" taken by what they called, "Fox News/Dynamic." The question was, "which candidate is more likely to capture Osama Bin Laden?" This survey showed McCain with an overwhelming lead, something like 48% to Clinton's 14% and Obama's 10%.

Even high school level statistics will tell you that there's NO WAY this survey was taken from a broad sample of Americans. It could only have been a survey of Republicans, not generic "registered voters" as they claimed. If it was, McCain may still have the lead but Clinton and Obama would be CLOSE behind. In fact, since Obama is the only candidate who talks about finding the real 9/11 culprit, I'd guess his numbers would be above McCain's.

But this is the point. Fox takes even something as obviously skewed as this poll and PRESENTS IT AS FACT. That is mind-boggling for a company that is supposed to be disseminating unbiased information so that WE, THE PEOPLE, can make honest judgements. Instead, they continue to force-feed their viewers, who believe what they see and hear is the truth, misstatements, half-truths and outright lies.

Our government should not allow Fox News to call themselves anything but entertainment or, better yet, propaganda. To say they are NEWS is repugnant.

What is the story on Fox TV news? Yesterday, they spent so much time bashing Senator Obama that one of their own senior correspondents had to call in on the air and tell them to stop it. He said he had seen and heard enough. One of the three announcers on the news program threw up his hands and walked off the set. They were stuck in a time hole frenzy of anti-Obama gibberish, playing and replaying the words and video of what a pastor said. All the while, important news was going on around them. They couldn't stop! When Governor Richardson joined the Obama bandwagon, they really seemed to erupt into a desperate talk frenzy of anti-Obama hysteria. They weren't this feverish even when reporting on the war in Iraq, suicide raids, rape, White House scandals, and child molestation. . . . What's going on over at Fox TV news? Has some faction threatened them if Obama wins the nomination? And he surely will! Tune into CNN (Anderson Cooper 360--but definitely NOT Lou Dobbs!) or Keith Oberman (MSNBC)for the news. These pros will give you the news minus Fox's strange and outrageous bias! Obama is on the road to victory and Fox TV News seems on the verge of going ballistic because of it! The question is WHY? Just tune out Fox TV news!

Thanks Carlene for providing that link. Judging from that video plus other info I have read about FauxNews I am doubly convinced that the so-called 'scolding' Chris Wallace gave the Fox anchors on air was A SET UP. Maybe it was done to appear fair and balanced or maybe to get some Obama supporters to apear on their show so that they can trash them on TV or maybe even Obama himself. Rupert Murdoch who is very powerful and influential owns too many cable companies, newspapers, and magazines for someone like Chris Wallace to all of a sudden get a conscience and berate his own colleagues.

I will never by your products while you continue your relationship with them. Fox News blatantly lies to the American people and is not a reputable news organization. It is disappointing that your company would want to associate with such an organization. I strongly warn you to stop your sponsorship of Fox News. They allow racist and anti-semitic postings on their moderated web sites and there "fair and balanced" coverage continues to take a shocking and hateful racist turn. To Christi and anyone whose listening. Did anyone hear Hannity's TV interview with John McCain earlier this month? I recall hearing McCain say that he did not like America until he became a prisoner of war. That raises the questtion what was his attitide re the U.S. before, during, and after he attended the U.S. Naval Academy? During the interview Hannity never asked McCain to clarify what he meant by his statement. Is there an hypocricy somewhere? I have never hear any response to the McCain statement by any radio or TV talk show host. Did anyone see the interview?

Every now and than America gets lucky with a politician.This country was fortunate enough to have Goerge Washington,Abe Lincoln,FDR,John Kennedy and if America votes for the candiate that is one of the most inpirational
presidnetial candidate in a long time we have had President Obama.
This is something that doesn't happen very often. We all know that alot of our politicians are out for thier own agenda and helping out thier rich friends. However once in a while we get a politician who is out there to change things for the country and those who live in it. A true inspiration. A politician who believes it his/her duty to SERVE the people who said I give you my vote because I believe you will do right by us. Not someone who ignores the poeple, and does what ever they want whenever they want and doesn't even take a second to see how that political decision will effect the poeple he/she is suppose to SERVE. We are the ones we've been waiting for... is a quote used by Marie Shriver at the California Oprah event... She stated before she spoke that phrase, that it was from a Native American "Hopi" prayer.

In general it's not an uncommon philosophy among aboriginal peoples around the world. It comes from the development from primitive man into the realization of consciousness,... Meaning that moment that you realize -you or we- as humans are different from all other creatures upon the earth in the fact of your self realization... your ability to say... who am I and how is it that am I here... where is here and who or what put me - us here.

There is no one else here like me-us, yet my mind is filled with thoughts that someone must have created all this... where are they, why don't they come and show themselves and tell of ourselves and who we are...

In time and with deeper and greater realization the astounding thought comes that.... Maybe we are they we seek and that all the answers are in us... we are the creator and the creator is us... It is in time thought and/or believed that there is no instructor, there is no guide ... there IS a creator or great spirit but he or she or it... is YOU and lives through you explores itself through you... Hence the realization phrase-belief and prayer of thanks to God for enlightening us to understand that: We are the ones we've been waiting for!!!

I think this phrase "we are the ones we've been waiting for" was spoken by Maria Schriver at the CA rally with Oprah and Caroline Kennedy. If I am remembering correctly, she said that she has a Hopi Indian saying taped to her computer which says "we are the ones we've been waiting for".

To me, it means that if you listen to Barack, he is asking us to join him in believing that together we can change our country. It can't happen without us all uniting for a common cause.

We are the ones we've been waiting for! (With a lot of help from Barack Obama).

The first time I "got it" tears came to my eyes. Because so many before us just kept waiting.

I grew up watching old Star Trek re-runs, side-by-side with "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick Van Dyke" show, and thinking about how far away that strange future society was.....where everyone was more or less equal, regardless of color or accent, and money and health care were not huge issues. It's very utopian, but now I know it is much, much closer than I ever dreamed. Heck, we even have "communicators".

I found a great quote by Stevie Wonder which encapsulates Obama's appeal to everyone, regardless of race. You are exactly right! I was just talking to my bf today about that. I was stressing that this was a completely different campaign because Obama is not just asking us to let our voices be heard on Nov. 4, and then he'll check back with us 4 years later.

Imagine what WE can do by staying engaged after Nov. 4. What does 500,000 emails into your Congressmans' mailbox do to prompt him/her to get on board with the Universal Health insurance plan? Quite alot I would imagine.

It is the activism and involvement of all of us that is really going to bring about change on the political front. We just have never yet had someone that we could trust to lead to way and concentrate our voices.

(and I could go on and on about the activism on the personal level-- where we are gently led to look at our personal shortcomings, and given the encouragement and opportunity to bring our best selves forward)

This s a different campaign. This is a different time. I feel so lucky to be a part of it.

No shock BARACK, No drama OBAMA - this is the even-keel, steadily strong, leadership that Barack constantly espouses. Yesterday, Larry King asked Barack what he thought about the slight dip in polls after the Wright flap, and Barack smiled and relayed that the campaign has been 15 months long, long enough for babies to have been born that are now walking and talking...he said polls go up and polls go down, we have to stay focused on the issues. Withing 24 hours the polls are trending back up on the heels of Richardson's wonderful endorsement. On the endorsement: the part I liked the most was the subtle revelation of some more of Barack's character - he whispered "Katrina" to help his then rival Richardson when Richardson was asked to answer a question he had not heard a rather than "throw him under the bus." I am so excited about the comeback Sen. Obama is making. I would just like to share a short story. First of all I am a native American, 3/4 Indian 1/4 black. Secondly I am a devote Muslim, raised Christain, I cover everything even my face. In some of the Masjids that I attend we are told not to vote. This is not the opionion of our Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia. I would like to say "for every Muslim who is able to vote. If we truly want change for our fellow people abroad, whether they are Christain, Muslim or Jewish, vote for Barack Obama. He is a good Christain and He knows about the History of the Middle East and abroad and you must listen to what he says. He is willling to talk to the enemies, he knows that for any solution there must be a problem and he is willing to find out about the problem with the radicals and work his way for a better solution, we must recognize this. He will get to the root of the problem, we need someone who is broad minded and who represents us All. And for all who thinks he is Muslim, believe me he is NOT because a Muslim will never denonce Allah, but his character is that of a Muslim (somewho who submits to God will) and we can not forget, Christians and Jews are people of the book, we are all striving for one cause to please our lord, and I have no FEAR and just want to say, Our duas (prayers) are powerful, lets all make a dua that Barack Obama will be our next president because we "meaning" everyone across the globe, do not want to keep these wars going for another 100 years, nor do we want people who play dirty politics to continue to represent us as Americans. The press is supposed to be our defense against the government by using their unique ability to shine light on the truth, not by perpetuating lies.

Turn the TVs off, read a book, fill our own minds with knowledge.

We can't rely on the media because the media is just entertainment.

PBS is the best source on TV. Might not be as entertaining at times, but they spread knowledge there, not lies.

I managed to get through to Randi Rhodes today and told her that Reverend Wright's speech was mostly a quote of Ambassador Peck. She listened and said it was important news. I am hoping enough people heard it over the radio that they start searching for the video themselves.

I will not believe another bad word about Obama until I have thoroughly researched the issue. They will try anything to take this man down. They are terrified that the people have found a leader.

I just wrote emails to sponsors of Fox and to CNN protesting the napalm that passes for news. I sent CNN the link to the complete Reverend Wright sermon.
I was crying I was so angry when he said the white ambassador on FOX made the chickens coming home to roost comment. The whole sermon was anti-war, anti-hate, and anti-violence!!!

I have a question, that I really would like an answer to. Are their any lawyers out there that can answer this?

Let me preface the question with some facts:

1.) Fox News took clips of Pastor Wright's sermons out of context.
2.) They then looped those clips to create a false characterization.
3.) They then broadcast those created videos as factual representations, tauting their validity.
4.) The affect of thier false presentations will have multiple ramifications.
A.) It served to decrease the tithings to the church in question.
B.) It will greatly reduce the Pastor's ability to supliment his living through future speaking engagements.

The question: Doesn't the church and the pastor have a case for slander or defamation of character?

while I can empathize with you, I think that there is not much that can be done. In general there is wide lattitude in political speech and if we started to regulate what could be said, there would be endless debate about what is rhetoric and what is a lie.

In addition, what you don't mention in your list is that Wright was a campaign 'advisor' to Obama in some capacity. That would weaken any argument that he is simply a private citizen.

However I do think there has been an increase in public officials slandering private citizens. I objected to Hastert obliquely accusing any citizen of 'coddling' (which is rendering aid) to terrorist for supporting Habeas Corpus.

In this (non) issue of Wright, while his statements were not represented as views of Obama, his connection as an 'advisor' would make it less likely that one could defame him.

I'm not an attorney, but I think it's more of a political issue anyway. Hopefully, when these attacks fail, and when Obama is POTUS I think you will see politicians and political debate change to emulate his success. If we buy into this logic, then the days of of the swiftboat are numbered.

Last, the journalists who engage in the swiftboat type attacks will be saddled with their own legacy. It's been said we create our own heaven or our own hell, and those that engage in these hit jobs will certainly pay a price with their reputations. Unfortunately I'm not sure that the editors, producers, and media mogals will carry the same burden, yet perhaps we can hold them accountable for their dishonorable behavior as well.

anyway, the pastor, in my opinion is a non issue. By Obama continuing to address the pastor issue it also further undermines any defamation chances due to Obama keeping it a valid topic.

Since you are mentioning religion (which maybe you should not have?):

1. There are other religions than Christian

2. For example, the religion I was raised in: Jewish

3. Jews do not have services on Sunday, so someone wanting to attend a Jewish service would not be able to do so on Sunday.

4. We also do not call our places of worship "church"

If you're going to have action in which you reference other religions, then please please don't erase the realities of our existence and ways, please.

Alternatively if the actual focus of your action is Christians connecting across racial lines -- and/or everyone connecting across racial lines by attending Christian services -- then I would respectfully request that you please make that clear in the action's description. Sunday and church may seem like the universal unmarked norm to Christians but it is not that for at least some of us in other religions.

PS This may be obvious and/or irrelevant to the purpose of your action, but Jews, as Jews, don't celebrate Easter either.

I read the link and see where the Sunday focus comes from. It reminds me that a lot of the public discussion is currently pretty Christian-focused -- it's not coming from you, you were just taking the lead from how it is showing up, and also adding a mention of ther days in there as you did. I am so used to that assumption of "Christian = universal" and always try to say something -- but you knew already that it's not! Sorry I jumped to conclusions.

I think what we have here is exactly what Obama was talking about in his landmark speech.

While we have made tremendous strides, we have a ways to go. One of those areas is expanding our understanding of each other.

In previous posts (so i don't have to restate it here) i've suggested decoupling the faith interchange stuff to be driven not by the Obama campaign, but rather religious organisations. It would be a great day when a christian church invites a rabbi to speak to the christian congregation, or for the various religions to attempt in earnest a respectful understanding and acknoledgement that we are all in this together.

In any event I think the 'oops' slip of neglecting the jewish faith can be understandable and a reminder that Obama was spot on in his landmark speech.

(incidentally, my brother is jewish.. yes i know.. with a name of Church. :)

let`s put it this way. i use to listen to the conservative talk shows and i consider my self a republican conservative. i am a bush fan and support the war in iraq. BUT i am for obama for the president of the U.S. (i will explain why som other time). therefore when they started to hurt my feelings about barak Obama, i just turned off the radio. i belive i am not the onle disappointed listner.

so why shouldn`t WE learn to say noooo noooo noooo to the radio ant TV when the hurt our feelings.

I agree to a point. I don't have a lot of time, so I pick and chose my media carefully, and use this site as well to find out what happened while I was "out".

However, it is important to know what our "enemy" are thinking. Usually they have been misguided. I have to listen to the bad things because I have to know what people need to hear. For a while, a strange little segment of the population needed to be told that Hawaii is a state. Then that Barack is not a "closet Muslim terrorist". And so on. I have heard outrageous claims, and they make me mad, but I am then prepared to respond calmly and carefully and with the respect that Obama so seldom gets from those who don't know him.

I have been blessed to view TV and literature, etc critically rather than devotionally. I hope this campaign inspires a more critical ear and eye in our population in general.

And it can be fun, as when all of Dallas was told a few years ago that " mosquitoes are most active in the morning and evening, so stay in your homes from dawn until dusk unless you absolutely have to go out."

I saw the long version of the sermon at TruthAboutTrinity here Link this morning (see the bottom of the web page) and I can't help wondering what direction my life would have taken had I been exposed to that sermon on the Sunday after 9/11. Could I have focused my anger and fear in a completely different direction? Shame on Me!

What a fantastic response to the 3am ad. Bravo, Casey!

I'm in Portland Oregon, and I just attended the campaign event where Bill Richardson endorsed Barack Obama.

Now, I was an Obama supporter before going to this event. But after hearing his powerful message in person, something has changed in me. No longer will it simply be enough for me to vote for him in the Oregon primary. No longer will it simply be enough to vote for him as my president come this November. It won't be enough to simply talk with family and friends about how great of a president Obama will be. It won't be enough to simply contribute donations to his compaign.

Today marks the day of my official involvement in his campaign as a volunteer.

OBAMA '08! Believe in it.

Besides, the Portland rally where people lined up overnight to get in, Salem had a town hall - tickets sold out 90 minutes after being offered without any press coverage and Eugene has a rally tonite - people have been lined up all day! Oregon is energized and the national people are arriving. We have tons of people stepping forward to volunteer and are Fired Up! Ready to Go!

I've been thinking that Obama may be well served to have a larger state county appearances and use facilities like a sports arena.

It would be a tremendous show of support to fill a football stadium with people there to support obama.

The down side risk is what it would look like if we didn't fill the stadium, along with criticism of getting an inflated sense of support. Yet if properly planned, I think the Obama campaign could manage it, particularly in the larger metro areas.

Because of the risk, I think such appearances if they do materialize will be after the primary is concluded.

Yet it was, at least to me, an inspiring thought.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Obama volunteers! I know exactly what you mean. I went to a town hall meeting Barack had here back in february and was BLOWN AWAY!! I started volunteering here in VA before we had our primary and it is SOOOOO GREAT!! I started with our GOTV canvassing door to door and making phone calls from the campaign office and my home. I found many events in my area to attend to be active with other Obama supporters. I plan to go to PA (since it's close to VA) to help there as well. One word of caution though... IT'S ADDICTING!! Once you've been "bitten" by the Obama volunteer bug... it's hard to stop!! Kinda' like trying to eat just one Lay's potato chip! :-)

Thank you for reminding us all of how it feels to be newly inspired. I confess I got to know Obama from his books and interviews first, and was actively supporting him before I saw him in person.

What I was not prepared for was the way I felt when he finally came out. We'd been happy, waiting, chanting, chatting...a very euphoric public event.

But when I saw him come around the corner, reaching out to the people, and they to him, I found tears on my face... of RELIEF. The deep-seated relief of a scared child finally being told, "It's okay. I'm here now." I'd felt it when hearing him speak, but never before on that level.

My campaigning became more personally fierce from then on, because I want EVERYONE to feel that feeling. And I think we will when he is elected.

This strange connection is one I had only heard about. Now we, too, can know.

Does anyone else get the feeling that he is trying to lose it for Hillary?

As a black woman the only thing I hear when I hear Bill Clinton say this "instead of all this other stuff which always seems to intrude on our politics" I can't help but think he really wants to say "instead of this black man who thinks he deserve our join our exclusive club." As though Hillary and McBush are two good white people who care about this country, and this black man doesn't belong. It's subtle, but so blatant. Wasn't Barack just good enough to be the VP?

Bill's so ignorant. I only think this because of what he said in South Carolina. When will these Clintons be shut down?

Chris Matthews characterized the Clintons the cartoon characters who run off the cliff, but when they fall off the cliff they keep running as though the cliff is still there. But the cliff is gone. And eventually they realize it and they fall.

The best and greatest thing about Barack is he is bringing all us people who look different together and not trying to pull us apart.

Here is how to participate in 3 easy steps:

STEP ONE: Individually or with other women in your community, purchase 10 or more postcards for each of you to write along with post card stamps. If possible, purchase postcards that represent your city or state.

STEP TWO: If writing postcards in a group, have a Postcard Party to get them all written and posted at the same time. Each postcard message should be brief and to the point - no more than 2-4 sentences. The following provides sample language:

Translation? Hillary is really about $9 million in debt right now.

She's paying for ads with new donations coming in. Ben Smith of Politico.com posted a blog yesterday where he indicated that Hillary was outspent by a 3:2 ratio by Obama over the past month.

We are kicking tail with our fundraising and there is an awful lot of media going out right now.

With Faux News posting negative soundbites it's been a tough week. But resurrection Sunday is coming soon!!!

Senator Clinton is a victim of "high overhead." Consultants (way to many with probably to much in-fighting) and advisers are where so much of her money goes. The difference in the campaign (aside from the grass root efforts) is expenditures. We spend the bulk on core activities (I assume) that yield the highest rates of returns - communications, marketing, advertising, etc. etc.

It will be interesting to see how all this plays out, but she will likely get through the campaign with no problems -- just heavy in the red with some debt to repay.

Clinton leads 47%-45% -- less than the poll's +/- 3 percentage point margin of error. Gallup says it surveyed 1,227 Democrats and voters who "lean" Democratic from Tuesday through Thursday.

Over the past two days, Clinton's advantage has narrowed from 7 points to 5 points and now to 2.

Gallup writes that:

Clinton moved 7 percentage points ahead of Obama in Gallup's March 19 report and sustained a significant 5-point lead on March 20. Her gains were coincident with the controversy over Obama's former pastor and "spiritual mentor," Rev. Jeremiah Wright. However, the surge in Democrats' preference for Clinton that Gallup detected earlier in the week has started to move out of the three-day rolling average, and the race is back to a near tie. It is possible that Obama's aggressive efforts to diffuse the Wright story, including a major speech ... have been effective.

Apparently, she owes her donors all the money which can only be spent if she wins the General Election. Otherwise, she's in the red.

Bill Richardson showed an incredible amount of class today praising the Clintons and acknowledging their long friendship. I cringed for just a second in fear at the response of the pro-Obama crowd. But they were classy too (by not booing at the naming of the one who should not be named).

No, Ben. It is a human characteristic to fear what we don't know or understand. The term "race" speaks as if there are several races on the planet. But we belong to the human race and within humanity are different cultures and ideologies.

It is a horrific part that is within us all. Some people recognize it, deal with it, and are concious of it therefore not making it a problem for them. Others choose to pretend it isn't a problem and ignore it while it festers and grows in their minds.

I wish it were easy to explain.

I've always felt Senator Obama can see things so clearly, in part, because he is bi-racial. He can see things from different perspectives because that is what he has lived, as he says, it's part of who he is. An African American fathered him and he came out of the body of a caucasion woman. I am bi-racial - but actually it has been proven that we ALL have a bit of African blood in our veins. SHHH don't tell Hannity or Pat. B.

There is a GREAT series on PBS by Dr Robert Louis Gates, Jr. about African Americans. I've asked our school librarian to order it.

It is a MUST see. It tracks the REAL history of AA's in this country AND where in Africa they came from (he uses the DNA of famous AA's in many cases: Oprah, Chris Rock, etc).

But it ALSO shows how AA's have roots in Ireland & vice versa. It is one of the best programs on race I've ever seen.

Our history is this: WE ALL HAVE SOME DROP OF AA blood in our veins.

I can't believe any of her individual supporters would even donate their hard earned money to that campaign, especially after hearing how they blew it all in vegas in lavish hotels and racked up huge bills at dunkin donuts or wherever. That was before super tuesday. Then she cries and has to loan herself money because Obama instead spent our money strategically and as a result won the most states, the most delegates and the popular vote. Why would her supporters throw away their money like that? If I had heard that Obama did anything of the like, I would have cut him off real fast!

Did you see Chris Matthews on Morning Joe today? He was so emotional and explained (sadly) that we NEVER had a class with an AA all through grade school through graduate school!!

Amazing.

His first experience was when he joined the Peace Corps (Barack talks about the Peace Corps in his speeches) and went to a tiny town in LA for training at a small HBCU. He actually lived with an AA family which constituted as training to serve in the PC in Africa.

In speeches that have gone largely unnoticed, Parsley (who is white) compares Planned Parenthood, the reproductive care and family planning group, to the Klu Klux Klan and Nazis, and describes the American government as enablers of murder for supporting the organization.

Hi everyone and happy Good Friday

I see so many challenges for raising money so I thought it was time for a differnent challenge.

I challenge you all to make some calls and outcall some of your fellow bloggers.

Today Ive done a quick 50 to NC and I have to say once again it leaves me with a big smile on my face. You feel you make a difference and you connect with real people.

Ill add that it is fun, you hear some interesting stories and most are very polite (at least in NC they have been).

So far Ive heard from at least 2 former Clinton supporters, a self described old white lady who I had a great conversation about Senator Obama's books (we each had read the other one). Ive heard from a marine who along with his 3 buddies were supporting Senator Obama. The vast majority that I spoke with are fired up and actually want to contibute by volunteering. Many had given money and now want to spread the message.

His speech was a topic for at least 3 or 4. Of the 30 or so that I talked to (be prepared to get busy signals, no answer etc) all but 2 would talk. All but 1 was a supporter.

There was the one guy who said no way in hell the terrorists would be bombing us as soon as he was elected but even he was pleasent (deluded mind you but nice about it).

So I challenge you all. Make some calls. See if you can get your name on one of the lists for the different states. Im on the NC list but it is short. Someone overtake me.

Lets put our mouths where our heart is.

Check out Washingtonpost.com and Youtube where you can see footage of the First Lady getting off the plane with daughter Chelsea on that trip to Bosnia. The plane "came under sniper fire"? Wow, the footage showed no one running. And if it was so dangerous, why was there time for a Bosnian girl to read a poem to the First Lady and daughter Chelsea?

Billary Words Matter | Report to Admin

After more than fourteen months of campaign, I was trying to remember any good words or great speech from Billary to the American people. I'm afraid I can't recall anything of that nature.

The following words kept coming to my mind:
- "the fun part of the campaign begins ..."
- "turn up the heat ... on the republicans"
- "meet me in Texas" "meet me in Ohio"
- "... shame on you Barack Obama ..."
- "... slum landlord ..."

Those words show a pattern of attack and bitterness. They show something about the the kind of leadership and the character of the candidate using them all the time.
Even if giving speech is not your strength, as a candidate to POTUS you should be able to say something uplifting to the country.

Does anyone out there remember anything warm enough to motivate people?
Do we as a country want to live for several years in that kind of atmosphere?
We need a different kind of leader. We need Barack Obama.

Change we can believe in.
YES WE CAN!

Thanks to all for explaining to me why the passport debacle is such a big deal. I had NO idea about all this. Ya'll are so smart.

That being said, any political ambition I may have had (which I don’t) – well I’m screwed.

A trip to Mexico for my 30th b'day, where, after downing countless jello shots & ta-kill-ya shooters and THEN deciding to learn to surf...while wearing one of those balloon animal hats (pink poodle was my choice) have ruined my chance to apply for a job in Obama's administration. LOL

FOR A GOOD LAUGH SEE THE BALLOON HAT PHOTO ON MY FUND RAISING PAGE. You will fall out laughing. And Yes I am buzzed in the photo & feeling no pain at the time...so sue me! LOL

The good news is we're taking action and the other good news is Moveon.org now launched a massive campaign to get thousands of signatures demanding the big networks stop parroting FOX and distracting Americans from real issues. They will hand-deliver all signatures to major media outlets next week, everything helps!
