I just wonder how she thinks she will be able to function as President if she can't deal with sleep deprivation on the campaign trail. Do we want her answering the phone at 3 am?

What if there was a national crisis, if she can't be depended on to tell the truth on the campaign trail how can we depend on her to make decisions in the middle of a sleep deprived crisis?

Our future, our chidrens future, our grandchildrens future depends on making the right decision and I for one don't want to see her manning the phone at 3 am.

- very positive report and comments on Obama and the poll numbers, which essentially haven't changed in the last month. Lots of explicit comments about low ratings for Clinton (honesty, trust, etc.). Also a disturbing analysis on how prejudiced attitudes could be a problem.

I think because there were anti-government things he said that were not by Ambassador Peck. In 20 years there are lots of things said and Obama didn't know what Wright may have said when he wasn't there so he didn't want to tie everything to Amb. Peck.

Also, as Obama mentioned, he HAS heard Wright say things in opposition to the government. (Like all of us have probably said at one time or another, right?) But in case it is taken out of context AGAIN by the MSM, Obama needed to say he didn't agree with many of his world views of the government.

Barack HAS said he didn't always agree with his pastor...as have many of us with our pastors at one time or another. We had a pastor who was developing a medical problem and said some of the loopiest things imaginable. I stuck by him and eventually he got the help he needed. Does that make me a bad person, unfit to lead?

Besides many of things Wright had to say were the God's honest truth. This whole inflated thing shall pass, although the neocons are sure to hang on as long as they can putting their own brand of spin into it, reading things in, just as Bill says, this is politics. But as barack allowed, they weren't going to vote for him anyway.

THE IMPORTANT SPEECH is the one at the top of this page. It is excellent. Bet a bunch of you haven't even seen it. It presents all kinds of perspective and ammunition for talking to those who don't understand where Barack is coming from. Listen to it.

Was there a request out there awhile ago that would try to track down these email creators? This is frustrating to try to talk to my co-workers who believe anything in an email!

I saw this last week. It piss's me off that the news gets away with this type of stuff, but they do it all the time. That is the reason I take everything they say with a grain of salt (carefully).

My thing though is...Why don't BO respond in this way? Why when NAFTA-Gate was exposed didn't BO respond about the lie? Because the news media is only going to show what they want and always spin.

with all the dirty tricks we feel HRC is pulling, she still has a loyal following of genuinely honest, law abiding, Christian voters.

Barack is going to need them in November.

What worked in Iowa, Kansas, Wisconsin and the other states was Barack staying on point with his platform of hope and inclusiveness. This is his strong suit. This is what I love about him.

The surrogates could bring up these issues, but so many of them keep putting their foot in their mouth.

I say fight with the truth and let HRC hang herself.

My husband and I watched once before and one thing i want to point out is that Rev. Wright did NOT say "God Dam* America", he said "God, Dam*ed America"

What do you think about us putting pressure on some of the "real" talk shows. I think it is past time for Reverend Wright to be presented to the country for the great man that he is, and not the poison spouting person that is being depicted in those sound clips. Many of us here have seen the longer version of this sermon and know the media presentation is a bold-faced lie. A lot of our fellow Americans do not have computers and therefore no access to what we see.

Remember Swift Boat when it wasn't properly rebutted unfairly became the truth to so many.
It is not too late to do something, let's not wait until it is too late.

It is amazing what people will do to win. Hillary's fervor to continue in this race is prompted by Bill and all of his supporters. I have heard that Bill is the elder statesman...with so much power that he can change the rule in the middle of the game. Regarding Florida and Michigan, Obama never said he would not agree to placing their delegates. He said it ought to be fair.

Hillary signed papers saying that she would not run in those states. She lied then as well as in other instances. I deeply believe that she doesn't even care about the people. What is wrong with splitting the delegates? Is she that bent on hurting the country? Obama has the most delegates...even after her smear campaign.

The country will not be behind her, and the country will remain divided, much like it was under Reagan. We were all there, but all of us weren't included. It was sort of like, "why bother?" If she wins the election by talking about his pastor,I really think I will hate her forever.

As to changing to a Republican, that does not sound so far fetched to me, chiefly because she has lied about so many things...she would probably keep us at war. I want a candidate I can trust, and that is not Hillary.

Barbara, the problem with that is Hillary, as well as the talk shows...has destroyed the reverends character. The greatest problem with Trinity is that it includes everybody. Racist, sexist, or any other "ist" is the last thing it is. You could actually go to Trinity and learn about the entire world.

The pastor of a church is not all that is happening. What a church does is bring people together. It is a place for fellowship.Of great importance is the church is so big, you can never even communicate with everyone,rather you will select a small number of people with whom you agree. Nobody sits at the foot of their pastor...albeit the pastor gets great respect.

What ever the case, because of what they have done to Rev. Wrights name, those shows would chew him up...simply for ratings.

As usual, this was great speech. However, when Obama got to the American Dream section---the section that all those stressed out people in the Rust Belt want to hear about, he forgot his best line:

NO ONE WHO WORKS IN AMERICAN SHOULD BE POOR.

It is, by far, his best line for expressing the base upon which all the financial regulation, bail outs, retraining, minimum wage and so on, rest.

I hope the campaign will start to use it often. As a professonal, I had expected you would make a 00:30 sec commercial out of it. There is so much you can do with it and it expresses Obama's bottom up premise perfectly.

It's great to be Presidential, but some of the economnic advertising could be more a chicken in every pot, a roof over your head, a car in the driveway oriented.

Hello Obama Family....Did you know that one of the signers of the "Clinton Donor Threat" letter was Bob Johnson, former President and CEO of Black Entertainement Television??

I am so upset right now, I'm tongue tied.

This makes no sense....He is a creep and a liar and all of the respect that I once had for him, is GONE.

I think this is VERY irresponsible of him. I know he's a Clinton supporter, but he crossed the line

He doesn't own BET anymore. He sold it to Viacom which has MTV, CBS, etc. But he does have stake in the Charlotte Bobcats and founder and owner of RLJ Development.

He was the man that spoke on the past drug use issue in South Carolina.

His ex-wife Shelia is an Obama supporter.

Bob Johnson was the one who at a Sunday HRC event insinuated that Barack was "dealing drugs" as a teenager...Hillary just laughed...

it took until Thursday for BJ to "apologize" and all Hillary said was that she "accepted his apology"!

She neither denounced or rejected BJ's slanderous remarks!!

The Tide Is Turning by Roger Waters in this video context is powerful. It is an apt comment on the fact that today Barack Obama widened to four points the tie of yesterday with his opponent for the Democratic nomination and the tide IS turning indeed. What people do not understand is that the hiatus we seem to be in is a time when a movement of one million is morphing to two million and that this will be translated into electoral surprises from now on. It matters not whether the opponent withdraws or clings to the very end. Today, I sense, is the tipping point because this has always been from the bottom up. Hold on. The tide is turning.

To all callers for Barack, let's remind PA voters that:

Senator Obama worked with the steel mill workers who got laid off in Chicago when he could have gotten a well-paying job after graduating from Harvard Law.

There is no reason for him to lose in PA to Senator Clinton, who aligns with the rich and the corporate world. The letter her fat cat backers sent to Speaker Pelosi is a proof.

We need to let the PA voters know that Barack was one of the ordinary people who worked hard to become extraordinary.

I think it's great that you posted this and I hope people read it.

I also think that Barack will address these issues well when he takes his bus tour across PA in the coming weeks. I know that HE knows the economy and jobs are forefront for PA voters. The great thing is that he can bring his message to them the same way he brought it to the other states, and he can do it without having to "tailor" it -- it's just the MESSAGE.

Yes, I heard that...I wish they would distinguish that Obama isn't going to ban lobbying, he's just going to make sure there are other people with a voice that is as strong as that of the lobbyists. Senator, I don't believe it's so much a "you're on your own society" as it is a "don't call us, we'll call you" society.

When Wall Street and Bear-Stearns need bailout money due to poor investment strategies, tax payers are instantly expected to pitch in and contribute to their solvency. When individual American citizens lose their homes thanks to shady mortgages, however, it's always their own fault.

The American people see and are increasingly disgusted by a huge double standard in this "don't call us when you need help, we'll call you when we do" ethic. That's John McCain's policy. Exploit it flaws.

And Hillary Clinton would like to fund a bailout program for mortgages, but she wants taxpayers to fund the bailout. That doesn't make sense.

If they're going to fund the bailout, then taxpayers ought to see the benefits. That's one of the reasons why the Dodd-Frank plan to involve the FHA makes sense - when the FHA receives home mortgage interest and protects homeowners while securing their mortgages, everyone wins. It's a great program, and it will pay for itself even if it involves some taxpayer expenses.

The Dodd-Frank plan makes sense.

Agree with you, Scott, about the Bush administration favoring the pinstripes, and not thinking about homeowners, or the loss in buying power caused by the plummeting dollar that reduces effectively the value of Social Security and Medicare. It's the same pattern, not caring about Katrina victims, but saving San Diego residents from their wildfires - the houses are more valuable.

But it is so dicey to save homeowners who deserve saving, without helping the "predatory borrowers" who saw a low-risk way to get rich quick. If we save homeowners who didn't read the contract when they took on risky mortgages, what do we do for the renter who read the contract, refused to lie about her wages, and declined to buy a house? Will we punish the cautious and responsible, and save the reckless?

If he believed for a minute that the Clintons were coming back to the White House, he wouldn't be able to peel himself away from DC. I think they'll do some positive powerful things. However, I'm also concerned about corruption. Carville strikes me as a pretty slimy guy. And corruption is rampant in New Orleans - especially problems with police who are overwhelmed and tend to turn the other way when problems arise.

SO, I spoke with Kari Huus, online reporter with MSNBC for OVER 20 MINUTES this afternoon, and brought her up to speed about the general feelings here.

* WE CHALLENGE MSNBC to show Rev Wright's comments in the FULL CONTEXT

* Cutting off Barack's Major Speech to talk about Rev. Wright

* I made her aware of the GROWING BOYCOTT of advertisers and sponsors. She wanted to know more about it. I mentioned P&G for starters. She sounded concerned. I said that there is growing frustration and no-one knows how else to get the media's attention.

Because I am "multi-racial", did I "naturally" feel inclined to support Barack. I said it has NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SUPPORT. It's his vision. I said I am also a woman, but at 48, I know of the long history of the Clinton's, and if I could vote, I couldn't vote for her in good conscience.

I told her the last straw was her going on FOX News to talk about Rev. Wright...I said it was completely UN-DEMOCRATIC! She agreed.

I told her why we appreciate Keith Olbermann and to some degree, Chris Matthews for trying to be fair.

Because I'm Canadian, they won't be able to do a video story like they were wanting, but she didn't realize just how much the world is watching, so I let her know that people that visit Barack's blog are from Australia, France, Norway, Italy, Canada and even the troops are sending their support from Iraq. I told her Obama supporters are very welcoming and are pleased to know Barack is transcending borders.

She wanted to know what the foreign visitors were saying, and I said that they 100% support this ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY for change.

The emails we send are going to general, not personal mailboxes of anchors & because of HIGH TRAFFIC, they rarely read them personally.

She asked about the general feeling at the Obama blogs, and I said that everyone is trying to stay above the frey, sharing information with Hillary supporters, but some of her supporters are extremely mean-spirited and hateful.

I urged her to let ALL NEWS ANCHORS know that Rev Wright is having his safety and life threatened & this threatens the people around him! She said she would.

She was great to talk to!

First MSNBC and then on Faux News a few mins ago. Talking about Rev. Wright and some new comments they found from him that were posted in a church bulletin. They said they talked badly about Italian and Jewish Americans, and also had some things in there about white society in general and the government. Why can they not move on from this topic and focus on the issues that effect ALL of us Americans as a society. They haven't spent anytime at all from what i've seen on the Hillary Bosnia lie at all, which broke only 2 days ago. Unbelievable! True media bias at its best!

They're not stealing our delegates, they are obtaining delegates through the process, which is something we can do too. They aren't getting delegates to switch. They're getting delegates who are not already pledged one way or another. It's confusing...someone else had to explain it to me earlier. In any case, no reason to panic. But we do need to be sure to follow up in our caucus states and make sure all our delegates make it to the different conventions they need to be at.

And the media don´t leave out Minister Louis Farrakhan, but also fail to inform that it was a mercy mission.

Then there was President Clinton, when he seeked forgiveness for his sins, present was also the forst lady at the time. Rev. Wright was there in his role as a pastor. Noticed how they did not speak up for Rev. Wright. While the media storm raged, Hillery Clinton was even sitting next to Rev. Wright at that breakfast. Even now she she fails to speak up.

I just heard something disturbing on NPR.
Barack leads all presidential candidates in PAC donations from Wall Street. Apparently he has received $6.6 million, Hillary $6.3 million, and McCain some $3 million.

The good news - Wall Street typically knows how to pick a winner. That's backed by statistics.

The bad news - and this is not backed by statistics, but is speculation - will he not be beholden to those who include Bear Stearns executives, hedge fund managers, and the others who have ruined the American economy with their lack of due diligence in these MBS's and other alphabet soup of shoddy loans.

Will this support prevent Barack from taking the corrective action that is needed - stiffer regulation of mortgages and banks, and letting the investment banks fail? (Someone has to swallow the bitter pill, and this only amounts to returning unjustifiable profits.)

Folks, this is an important issue. This is about averting a Depression - or if a Depression does come, to at least make it a short and productive one, cleaning up what needs to be cleaned up. I have been wondering for so long why Barack or the other candidates are not addressing this issue seriously - except for some pandering "save the homeowners" rhetoric from Hillary. I'm disturbed to think that campaign contributions might be the answer.

Not PAC money. He gets more money from average citizens who happen to work on Wall Street. So if someone cleans the windows at JP Morgan and donates to Barack, that counts as a donation from the financial services industry. If you go to www.opensecrets.com you will see he as 0% of his money from PACs.

Barack Obama takes no money from PACs.

This has been done a few times before: people take the individual donor lists, and then they index the individual donations by employer (which is required information when making a donation), and then they try to spin it to say that it's corporate donations. But it isn't.

That would be like saying that because I donated, my employer donated. Which is clearly not true.

Hillary's campaign put out a memo today insinuating this, and it's simply dirty politics to try and undercut the fact that individual people support this campaign -- especially in light of how we individual people outspend Hillary's high dollar investors who are trying to strongarm Nancy Pelosi.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're not trolling, no, this has no effect on what he's going to do. Instead, it shows that people in these industries individually trust Barack to address the problem.

In the South Carolina debate, this was brought up. Barack explained, in no uncertain terms, that if an employee who happens to work at one of the said firms donates to the campaign, it must be filed under one of the PAC categories. Similar to physicians that donate -- they are filed under the "health care" group (or something akin).

These are individual donations from co. employees that can be tracked and recorded as such. They are not lump sum, corporate donations such as the ones that the other two candidates have consistently received.

Obama doesn't take money from federal lobbyists and PACs. The phrase they used applied to all candidates and it was "individual donors and political action committees in the industry". So take out the PACs that Obama isn't taking money from and you're left with individual contributers.

That is not a PAC money Mr.! People who work there contributed as individuals by themselves. And I am sure NPR did not reported the way you wrote it here, they should know better. If I work in a law firm who happen to be a lobbyist firm and I happen to be a dish washer there, my name will be associated with the firm because I work there, but I am not lobbyist. Once Barack Obama passes 1,627 America has made its decision. He will have won the majority of earned delegates.

Mentioned the only reason Obama is successful is because of Obama Girl of all people and her, as he calls 54D cup size, etc. He says some other distasteful things as well.
