Announcement: Senator Kerry to Attend Events in Washington State and California

On Friday, February 1st and Saturday, February 2nd, Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) will host “Change We Can Believe In” events in Washington and California. Senator Kerry will make stops in Seattle and Tacoma on Friday and San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento on Saturday.

Kerry will discuss with Washington and California voters why Barack Obama is the only candidate who can bring change we can believe in.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1 – WASHINGTON STATE

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2 – CALIFORNIA

I must say, I am in thrilled with the level of mastery that the management of this campaign continues to display. It is truly a quite force with deceptive power. Just look at the dominance of the news cycles in the continuous joust with Camp Clinton.

Saturday: Land slide victory for Obama in SC

Sunday: Land slide victory for Obama in SC and Caroline Kennedy Op-Ed "A President like my Father"

Monday: Rumor of Ted Kennedy endorsement

Tuesday: Ted Kennedy endorses Obama, gets the keys to Camelot

Wednesday: Should have been a spin success for Hillary's hollow Florida victory speech, but it turns out that the news of the day is John Edwards leaving the race (Thank you John Edwards - Gotcha Hillary!)

Thursday: The Great Super Delegate Migration and a pointed Denver speech to a crowd of 18,000

Friday & Beyond: I'm guessing rumors of an Oprah appearance or an Al Gore endorsement, but whatever it is, play the game you've been playing guys, it's damn near perfect!

I wish it was also Al Gore, but he probably isn't the one coming in New Mexico.

I really think Obama does better as the debate size gets smaller.
I hope they are standing behind podiums because Barack does better. MSNBC blew it in their last debate in NV with everyone too casual.

Barack will need to pull out some new clever one liners without being too aggressive.
He must push the "ready to Lead on Day 1"
and "ready to be Right on Day 1" lines.

Also must declare in no uncertain terms that he can do better against John McCain than Hillary.
Its all about winning Independents over and Barack has proven he can do it.
McCain is doing well because of electability. Why can't Democrats be smart enough to do the same?

I am a Minnesota native, but I live overseas. As I cannot volunteer in the flesh, I am working online.

Below is a link to the With One Voice fundraising campaign for Senator Obama. It was started in honor of the voter in South Carolina who gave this movement $3.01 and a bible verse. She, like most of us, could not afford to max out her financial contribution. However, the spirit of this movement is not a few people doing a lot, it’s many people doing everything they can.

The goal is to echo our friend 10,000 times over and raise $30,100.

Abraham Lincoln was president of the Unites States at the moment when our nation was most divided. Lincoln had to make Unity his number 1 priority in order to save the union itself.

Today our nation is divided. We are far less divided than we were during Lincoln’s time, and the matters we are divided over are less grave. Nevertheless, we are perilously divided today, and the matters we are divided over are grave in their own right.

When Martin told us that "Unity is the great need of the hour", he was harkening back to Abraham Lincoln. When Barack tells us that “Unity is the great need of THIS hour” he is harkening back to both Martin and Abraham Lincoln. Barack is offering our nation a Lincolnesque vision of the presidency for the 21st Century.

The other candidates believe that a Lincolnesque presidency is no longer possible, that it is a relic from a long gone age. Barack thinks otherwise. The audacity of hope is the audacity to believe that a Lincolnesque presidency is still possible in the year 2008.

Just in case you guys missed this article. This letter was published by over 80 lawyers who worked with him to restore Habeas to the men at Guantanamo. As a daughter of a retired judge, I am amazed at the praise they are giving Barack. He said Bill Clinton called him to explain his comments about Obama, and Carter told Clinton he needed to tone it down. Carter really likes Obama. Make sure you read the article.

This other Newsweek article by Howard Fineman troubles me, though. I can't see that Obama's upper command would have rebuffed Edwards when his people made overtures to the Obama campaign. I really hope they did not do anything foolish.

Edwards should endorse Obama because that is the person who will ensure that Edwards message and his cause will not die.

We need to help convince the Edwards campaign of that... because it is true.

McCain is killing Romney on the Irak issue. From a Republican standpoint McCain was right about the surge, and so he's making sure everyone knows that Romney was against (or atleast did not take a position on the surge). From our side (democrats), BO needs to make sure people are reminded tomorrow night that HRC supported the war, supported a designation that could pave the way to war with Iran, and that she opposed being transparent with the american people. BO had shown judgment time and time again... the people must be reminded of this.

I was thinking it would be good if somehow it can be organized so that Barack's supporters can have a rally at the exact same time all over the country this weekend. For example, Saturday at noon or whatever time! This would bring a lot of positive media attention to the campaign right before February 5th, and it would be shocking show of how strong this movement is.

Does anyone know if and how that could be organized??

Simulcasting BO Rallies...I think that's a great idea. I bet the costs are ridiculous! Doubt if any political campaign could afford the bucks. It's cheaper to get free media coverage, but then, you have to put up with MSM spin, cut-aways, etc, except when C-Spann does it. The audience for it would be TREMENDOUS though. I bet ya 300 venues could draw 5,000 people easily thats 1.5 million folks flocking to see a live Rally feed streaming into in selected markets. I wonder position the Federal Election Commission position would take on this? Independent TV/Film producers and high level BO Campaign folks should explore this. This may require an OPRAH touch! BO
would need some others to round out the Rally...throw in a few entertainers and some other speakers...who would you like to see join BO at the Rally!

Let us stay positive on today's bebate. No attacks. But let us show enthusiasm. When they talk about being reday on Day 1, we must say not only will we be ready but we will be right on day 1.

We must state our health policy and economic policy with clarity, conviction and enthusiasm.

No charges must be left unanswered. And we must anser with wit, one liners. e.g., Senator I do not need you to give me a lesson on taking responsibility for my vote. then move on to state this is the politics that we must reject, etc.

We must come across today as hopeful, policy oriented, candid, judgment-tested and trusted, and Presidential.

Obama need to be on his game today. I am pretty sure this format will benefit him because he will have more time to speak.

It seems that what Obama has to hope for is a brokered convention because if alot of the bigger states Hillary Clinton is ahead in, and if Hillary is winning the superdelegate race, then how can this be made up? Ever since I have been paying attention to this primary, Hillary is always ahead in the super delegate race. I mean, I love Barack Obama from the start and will support him 100% percent with all I can do and have been donating alot, but am I missing something here because I hear that Hillary Clinton is ahead in the bigger states where there are the most delegates?
