Just arrived in Nashua, New Hampshire and what I can tell you is that hope appears to be infectious. The traffic started getting bad a few miles away from the event (it was so heavy we were nervous we wouldn't even make it in time). Turns out everyone was heading to the same place: Nashua North Highschool.
When we arrived, a huge line was snaking around the streets.
I got inside and it was already full (there's still that enormous line outside).
The energy out here is frankly unbelievable. Stevie Wonder is playing loud: "You can feel it all over."
More soon.
UPDATE I: Obama arrives and the room explodes in applause...
People take out their cell phone cameras to catch a moment of history...
Obama says a few days ago, the people of Iowa decided to put away their fears and reach for hope.
Then he tells this New Hampshire crowd, that in three days, it's their turn to bring about change in America. That they have the chance to do what the cynics say can't be done -- the chance to say that we are one nation, that we are one people, and that our time for change has come.
UDPATE II: This is the overflow room...
Yes, the overflow room. There is a palpable hunger for something new here.
UPDATE III: Official crowd count... More than 3,000 total people fill up two gymnasiums.
Obama concludes by telling New Hampshire, if you believe, we can make history in three days.
UPDATE IV: Just spoke to an undecided voter named Chip from Nashua. Turns out he's not undecided any more. Watch the video...
