Some pundits and pollsters have started posting their pre-election predictions.
Time for me to follow suit:
Obama wins all Kerry 2004 states, most with comfortable leads. His closest margins are in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, and Virginia are called for Obama relatively early in the night. Nevada, Ohio, and Florida are narrow Obama wins.
North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, and Montana stay red, but by very narrow margins. Missouri breaks for McCain but by less than 10,000 votes. Arizona is also very close.
Surprise state: North Dakota to Obama. Bob Barr and Ron Paul take 5% of the vote between them in ND.
Final: Obama wins the Electoral College 341-197. Popular vote is 52.6% to 46.6% to 0.8%.
Senate: Democrats gain but Lieberman caucuses with the Republicans. 58-42 after his defection. Senate surprise is Martin over Chambliss in Georgia.
House: Democrats gain 22 seats.
Now make it happen! Volunteer! Vote!
