ACORN and Voter Fraud

I think it is very important for Barack Obama to address this issue before it gets out-of-control. If Obama has paid them to register voters and if ACORN has been shown to do illegal things this could blow up in the campaigns face. I would strongly suggest that the campaign does not dodge this issue. If ACORN is doing illegal things, Obama should get out from underneath it.

This goes on every year. The way I understand is that Acorn - who registers voters in low income, poor areas - has workers who get PAID for every person they register to vote. This is the way the comopany operates. The problem is - the workers - who may be anybody they get for the day - were registering people that may not have exist - just to get the per person amount. Acorn, who calls ALL registered voters to be sure they are registered and they are who they are, found duplicate applications and people who did not exist.

Acorn is doing their job by following up on each resistrant BUT it's the PEOPLE who are working being mischievous. For every "fraudulent" application they find - they should hold the people registering responsible!!!

I think that is it. I am going to watch Rachel Maddow now and she most likely will have the full story.

ACORN pays their people by the hour, not by the registration received.

The people of ACORN are, of course, innocent until proven guilty. Nevertheless, the evidence that has come up warrants further investigation at the very least.

The best course of action is full disclosure and a public statement to cooperate with the investigation fully.
