You would think that with the latest polls-NBC-Wall Street Journal,Employee Benefits Review- showing that 80% of Americans at least somewhat favor a govt. run public option and 65% of Americans favoring Single Payer as the real solution, the Democratic Leadership would capitalize on this opportunity to win the hearts and minds of Americans sending the Republicans deeper into electoral isolation. So why are they cowering behind our moderate President- the Public Option is a compromise- lettimg him take the heat? Worse-Max "Send more Corporate Health Care Money" Baukus releases a plan not even asking for what the President, a member of his own party, has asked for. Since when has a President faced opposition like this from his own party. The party should be demanding that members rally around Kennedy-Dodd.
