Greetings from the beautiful State of Bavaria:
Allow me first, to briefly introduce myself. I’m a professional singer who for the first time, in l972, (Two weeks before the memorable Munich Olympics were to begin) set foot on European soil.
The “blitz” decision to spend “three weeks” in the country of my Godmother’s birth, was undoubtedly the result of the many fascinating and compelling stories I had, (as a child) often heard her elaborate on. Such as, the indescribable four years of incarceration, she was forced to endure in two of Hitler’s infamous concentration camps, -Buchenwald and Ravensburg.
The Chartered Airline, I was about to board, was announcing its first attempt non-stop flight -LAX to Frankfurt, just as my Godmother began to prophesy over me. She said, “In my country, you will become famous, marry a German, and you’ll never return to the States to live”.
Though many things have changed, everything she said came to pass in that order. And yes, I’m STILL here!
I’ve been signed up with (mybarackobama.com) since February, of this year. After having neglected my right as a citizen all these years to vote (despite my awareness of Democrats Abroad) I felt ashamed and unworthy to participate. Obviously, however, it was the combination of the excitement of the “concert” like crowds, as well as the unique persona of Barack Obama in particular, that moved me to finally join Democrats Abroad, and got me FIRED UP and READY TO GO home! Now, of course, I cannot fathom my feet anywhere other than on U.S. soil, when Barack, in November, delivers his acceptance speech, as VERY FIRST African-American president, of the United States.
Consequently, it is with sincere gratitude, and deep appreciation, that I, together with a talented team of family and friends, invested time and money, and produced a song for “EINHEIT” (unity), a wake up call to us all. ”AMERICA” (The Sound of Colour Realized)
Cognizant, of the hundreds of songs that are already out there, (some very good, others less good) we maintain the opinion that our song, has a “Divine” mission and appointment.
THE MISSION: To HELP motivate and encourage one another on our short sojourn through life, as equal citizens of the country we proudly call home, and so affectionately love.
THE APPOINTMENT: To retrieve the credibility we as a Nation once possessed as the International leader of TRUE Democracy.
Trusting our Democratic nominee will remain steadfast and focused, in spite of the many attempts (by the opposition) to distract and disarm him, from the “vision” of keeping his appointment in the WHITE HOUSE. (Along with his beautiful wife and two lovely daughters)
“AMERICA” (The Sound of Colour Realized). Came into fruition while meditating on the many blessings we as a Nation are so privileged to enjoy. A Nation wonderfully created, into a beautiful “melting pot” of Gods colourful human creatures. An important truth, too few of US appreciate, and unfortunately have yet to REALIZE.
“Historical” moments marked in history, are hidden treasures manifested in time. (A personal motto I created, and enjoy learning to live by). Understandably, the greatest privilege would be, to have the honour of singing with a 100 voice choir, (predominately kids) “AMERICA” (The Sound of Colour Realized) at the 2008 Democratic Convention, and/or the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. A “Historical” moment, I believe history would be honoured to mark . . . in time.
We are so open, to the idea of using this song to raise funds for the DNC and/or Sen.Obama’s campaign, at home and/or abroad.
