Americans were recently critized by the McCain campaign as being whiners and or being in a mental recession! This shows How Out Of Touch with Americans the McCain campaign really is! With rising gas, food prices, home foreclosures, pensions being at risk, How Dare McCain call Americans whiners or being in a state of mental recession! Oh I forgot how do you expect one(McCain) to have empathy for his fellow citizens when he worth 100 million. I bet he doesn't have to worry about gas or food or healthcare. The Average American Does!

You know what, McCain made it clear that Gramm was not talking for McCain when he said we had sort of become whiners in the US.

"Yes but isn't Gramm his main economic adviser!"
I learned recently that this is the case. I didn't know it before.
I suppose you could place Gramm's comment about American's being whiners and Obama's comment about being ashamed of Americans (merci beaucoup)in the same category of things best left unsaid.
