Approval rating to the best of my understanding is yet another subjective term used by pundits to support or refute a measure and does not necessarily represent the authenticity of an argument or support the position of those it is intended to serve.
In spite of the media reporting about the downside rating for the president’s quest for revamping the healthcare industry, my community particularly does not share the same sentiments and I have also been opportune to discuss across the country and many of the people I contacted adamantly support the 44th president’s quest to bring orderliness and affordability in an industry that is saturated with too much “special interests”, lobbyists and the egocentrically myopic health Insurance companies.
The monopoly exhibited by the Insurance companies which pragmatically is to the disadvantage of the American people can only be broken with the advent of a system such as that being proposed by President Barack Obama, and which is focus on cost, affordability and quality.
Americans stand to gain a lot, actually beyond measure at the long run once the congress join hand with the American people through the president to effect the necessary legislation that will forever transform the healthcare industry to a true abode of professional and ethical haven for both practitioners and patients alike. The current situation whereby the insurance companies act as a middle-man and actually benefited most among the three tiers of the triangular relationship between the healthcare provider, the patient and the insurance companies is not only detrimental but excessively diabolic and dogmatic for a twenty- first century United States of America.
I am not bothered about the approval rating of the president; my most concern is how we can all join hand together and bring about the kind of change that will make the country a better place. The president is doing a great job under very unhealthy circumstances especially the confrontational and dogmatic attitude of the Republican Party members that are behaving as if they are a different “Americans” as opposed to the Democrats and Independents in the country.
The position that the Republican Party members have taken conspicuously demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that partisanship is more important to majority of them as opposed to nationalism. Furthermore maintaining the status quo that hurt and deprive the people of the capacity to live within their minimum wage is fundamentally more crucial to them than in supporting the President and the Late Senator Teddy Kennedy in passing the kind of sweeping change in the healthcare industry.
President Barack Obama’s approval rating to the best of my knowledge and in my heart is above 65% and has continued to be maintained at such high level principally because of his inclinations, articulations and intentions of making America better than he met it.
God bless USA
God bless Obama & Biden
