Also, Palin is being introduced even as the Alaskan Legislature is investigating her firing of the state's public safety commissioner in July. The commissioner has said he was pressured by the governor's office when he refused to fire Palin's brother-in-law, a state trooper who was involved in a messy divorce from Palin's sister. The investigation is expected to wrap up around the time of the election, or unfortunately soon after.
