However, could someone please explain all the other numbers to me? It doesn't add up. I mean, if Obama won the most votes, he should have the most delegates. And from what I'm hearing on the radio about the importance of the superdelegates, I believe they are unConstitutional and should be totally done away with.
Obama's clear win of the most states seems to dictate that the superdelegates go to him, if that's how it works. But I don't understand this "pledged" thing. How can a delegate be "pledged" before the voting?? This reeks of back room politics, and has no place in our democratic society, and certainly not in a party called "Democrats".
