Hillary:
1. is all about DRAMA.
2. has no foreign relations experience.
3. is a control-freak.
4. disagrees with Obama on the major issue regarding foreign relations, that of meeting with adversaries without PRECONDITIONS.
5. believes in threatening adversaries with violence/attacks/ultimatums.
6. confessed to be waiting to see if Obama got assassinated before she finally conceded the primary and withdrew.
7. mismanaged her campaign horrendously.
8. is handling this possible nomination as if she is entitled to it, and as if it is inevitable - like her run for the presidency.
9. wants to be president and will do ANYTHING to get it.
10. would bring her own team on board and take over control of the position and the agenda.
11. could not be counted on to actually represent Obama's foreign policy.
12. would confuse foreign leaders, who know HRC has aspirations for a presidency and foreign policy positions of her own.
13. would undermine Obama's presidency because she could never be trusted.
14. would dilute and inevitably fracture Obama's attempts to create relationships with foreign countries because no one would ever really know if she was pushing her own agenda to other leaders, or truly representing Obama. Therefore, Obama's presidency would come under suspicion and could not be trusted either...just when foreign leaders have so much hope that Obama will be different than Bush...
15. was in favor of the Iraq war, voted for it, and refuses still to admit that she didn't read the intel, and made a mistake voting for the war.
16. does not believe that the troops should withdraw from Iraq, or that the war should end, so she will make sure it doesn't.
17. recently asked Senator Ted Kennedy to give up his chairmanship of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (which he has devoted his entire life to), so she could have a leadership position in the Senate. This she did while Senator Ted is dying of brain cancer and undergoing chemo. This action on HRC's part is simply deplorable, and reason enough not to entrust the position of SoS to her.
Why would Obama pick her? How is this sitting with the millions of us who gave up jobs, family life, time, energy, and money to support the promise of CHANGE ????

Dear Fair-weather supporter,
Please tell me just when Obama promised YOU final approval of his appointees? WE ALL VOTED for him, canvassed, called, donated, registered voters, etc., but I for one am not hyperventilating over every cabinet choice. I voted for PE Obama because I trust him to straighten out this country. Trusting him means I believe he will pick the people to get the job done. If Hillary doesn't work out as SoS, he can fire her. Get a grip.

If you like the ideas and timetable then please spread the word..
Our group came from very different backgrounds as Jews, Christians, Muslims.
We do not pretend to be comprehensive but wish to suggest ideas and to provide an overview of issues that we need to tackle, however to be persuasive we have to lead by example:
• Respect international laws and conventions.
• End torture
• Restore due process for all detainees.
First 3 months:
• Work towards ending the Gaza blockade by Egypt and Israel.
• Restore full diplomatic relationship with Venezuela.
• Restore full diplomatic relationship with Cuba and Syria – In return asking for a good will gesture that both countries announce the release of all political prisoners and adopt higher standard of human rights.
• Initiate dialogue with Iran to restore diplomatic relations
• Foreign secretary level meeting with North Korea and Myanmar (Burma)
First 12 months:
• Palestinian-Israeli conflict – the extreme right dominates current Middle East discussion; this has to end for the sake of peace.
- US government should empower the underrepresented voices to be heard and help them establish a visible presence in Washington. Excluded governmental organizations such as Hamas, and NGOs such as: the Peace Now movement, refusniks, Palestinian National Initiative PNI, Rabbis for Human Rights, and others.
- All political stakeholders from right to left, religious parties and respected scholars will then start direct talks in DC or at the UN.
- The meeting will last as long as it takes, continuously, with a sense of urgency.
• Encourage all Middle East leaders to free political prisoners and adopt higher standard of human rights.
• Encourage political settlement in Sudan based on a federal government structure.
• Encourage transparent elections in Zimbabwe
• In Afghanistan, a military surge would result in more bloodshed and destruction. An inter-Afghan negotiations by all parties for a peaceful resolution needs to happen.
• Encourage a resolution of the Kashmir conflict
First 24 months:
As a result of implementing our proposals, we could potentially witness:
• Israeli/Palestinian peace agreement.
• Restoration of full diplomatic relations with Iran, Cuba, Syria, North Korea, and Myanmar (Burma)
Longer-term goals:
• Reunification of North/South Korea
• Resolution of the Tibet issue.
• Independence for Chechnya
Making these small steps through diplomacy and dialogue, not unilateral military actions, will begin to earn us the respect of the world again.
