On Feb 8th, 2009 I'm holding a community meeting to get parents, and the community more involved in the issues facing education. My house meeting is my attempt to get others to join me in Adopting our Teachers. We are all aware of what challenges our teachers and our schools face. Please join me in doing our part to show our teachers that we care about education here in Nevada. I'm attempting to purchase gift cards to be distributed to area teachers to be able to purchase the much needed school supplies. Many of you know about the budget cuts the school district is facing and the results of those are going to affect all our children. A dollar spent today on education is a dollar saved down the road by educating our young people. Please join me in doing something to assist our struggling school district and to show our teachers education does matter to us.
