ONE MORE REASON to support Obama-Biden
John McCain will tax your employer based healthcare plan for the first time in history. During the second presidential debate Barack Obama said it best. With one hand John McCain offers a $5,000 tax credit and in the other he taxes your health benefits as income. With the health concerns we have impacting the African American community and more than 7 million without health insurance, we literally cannot afford John McCain in the White House.
Barack Obama is committed to signing health reform legislation by the end of his first term in office that ensures all Americans have high-quality, affordable health care coverage. The Obama-Biden health care plan will save a typical American family up to $2,500 every year on medical expenditures by providing affordable, comprehensive and portable health coverage for every American. And for those who don’t have healthcare, they will have access to the same quality coverage currently offered to Members of Congress.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden will tackle the root causes of health disparities by addressing differences in access to health insurance coverage and promoting prevention and public health, both of which play a major role in addressing disparities. They will also challenge the medical system to eliminate inequities in health care through quality measurement and reporting, implementation of effective interventions such as patient navigation programs and diversification of the health workforce.
