I am not here to post a news clip this time. Instead i am here to vent my frustration with the media, not at all of them mind you, only those who are inclined towards borderline tabloid journalism like CNN or those who dont even care about journalism like the FAUX news channel. Instead of concentrating on the policy tilt of potential VeePs for Obama, the talking heads have chosen to concentrate on the reality show like drama that is certain to result from talking about a Obama Clinton ticket. We know its not very likely to happen so why talk about this possibility on and on. ? Cos it is Drama, its ratings, it feeds the gossip mill, sells ad and changes the campaign into a voyeuristic reality show ...and the end result is policy debates and discourse are thrown right out of the window, public attention to policy diverted and public participation in policy debate starts tending towards the non-existent. They cannot tell the forest from the trees. I like to call it the Fog of Politics!! Thats my 2 cents for the day .! Stay tuned and keep the faith. Later folks

I'm with you on Dodd for VP. He a classic just-the-facts, 'beyond politics', politician.

Honestly dont know enough about Dodd. But i will loook him up. If you asked me for a profle of VP i had say someone with a Jesse Ventura type approach - brasstacks reality based governance. Someone like that will be a good team with Obama- Obama can articulate policy to the nation well, while this guy lends it more meat on the bone in terms of the "how to get it done".

With the John Edwards endorsement of Obama, now the media is speculating big time about a revised "dream team" of Obama-Edwards. While I would prefer that to Obama-Clinton, I think that would also be a bad idea.

You are right. These media speculations attract viewers and sell newspapers.

I still prefer Biden, with Richardson a close second, but there are many other good possibilities.

yes exactly agree...the Veep has to be worthy of Obama...cannot dilute the basic policy tilt that Obama is advocating.
though Obama-Edwards in the news is better than Obama-Hillary in the news. After Edwards' performance with Kerry the last time though....no thanks.i Just dont think he cuts it. Good guy but no political chops. either way i think Dems will clean up in NC this time. NC has always been one of those states electing a Repub for Prez and Dem for Gov for a long time now. That looks very likely to change this time !!! and will i be the glad to get a ringside seat to that!!
