Our canvass staging area, quiet and calm before this morning's kickoff event.
Gathering with Rep. Niki Tsongas after her pep talk.
Clipboards, paper and pens are the most important tools next to our volunteers.
More below the fold...
We're staging GOTV canvass operations from the Littleton Community Center. We had a big group for viz on Main Street while waiting for the Congresswoman.
Doing the meet and greet.
She went down the entire line of volunteers, asking their names, shaking hands. And we're not even her constituents!
Giving us a big pep talk out front.
Reminding us our work is so important and not quite done yet.
We corralled people upstairs for some quick phone calls. How many of you have cellphones?
Here's a list of 10 voters to call.
Find a corner.
And call!
The Congresswoman was not exempt.
Tsongas calling with LeeAnn Michael, NH House candidate (and my hostess).
LeeAnn chats with a constituent.
After some canvass training, packets are handed out. We have a lot of turf to cover today.
Flipping through a packet.
Talking to one of our canvass captains before heading out.
As I twittered yesterday, I'm currently the IT guy, data enterer and miner, volunteer coordinator, official photographer, and gofer. I've done viz, canvassing and phonebanking. I live in Votebuilder and Google docs. And I am sign making machine.
The only thing I'm not really allowed to do is making up lists and such on poster paper for the walls. My handwriting sucks--some of it's because I hate doing that stuff, so I am a study of deliberate incompetence and not just because I have the penmanship of a doctor suffering from DTs.
