I've been waiting for a chance to see Barack in person. He was here in February, but I wasn't able to attend. I'd love to see 80,000 people out there again, but the campaign has not YET released details as to where the event will be held. That 80,000 is a reference to a rally held for John Kerry in 2004. The Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen were on hand to entertain and excite the crowd before Sen. Kerry took the stage.
I would guess if a similar sized event were planned...there would be as many as 100,000 people on hand this year. The level of excitement is so much different that is was 4 years ago. I would guess - if they wanted to - they could get into the 6 figures, especially with a week's notice of the event.
