Ok, I could not resist taking this photo, I call it:
Barack Obama, The Moose & The Blueprint for Change
Up here in Idaho, it has been a heavy snow year and so the local moose have taken to town due to ease of movement. So, there I am minding my own business looking at www.barackobama.com and this is what I saw out the window of my home office.
Enjoy.

Now, IA,
you gotta know how much I support Sen. Obama.
And the Blueprint for Change is the "TO DO" list for American.
I've never been to Idaho, and other than your picture and that TV show, Northern Exposure, I hadn't ever seen a moose.
But here's the real question...
What is the 'glass-bowl,-memories-of-chemi stry- class,-maybe-it's-a-kerosene-l amp,-but-it-looks
-like-it-measures-something" thingamabob on your window sill?
Please, I must know!!
Peace, Sabra
I'm an OBAMA mama!!

Yes, as mentioned below, it is a vacuum tube from an old Navy transmitter. The tube is huge and was used for AM transmissions back in its day. I got it several years back.

Not too cold today, it actually got up to about 48 degrees. Low of about 28 degrees. The snow if finally starting to melt! We have had a very hard winter, but spring is just around the corner.

Can you offer a reverse-image for T-shirt iron-on use? I could sure use a "Women for Obama" for a shirt!

That moose looks envious - do you suppose it want an Obama T-shirt - or a sign for its front yard?
You have done awesome work and your enthusiasm is always fun to see.

My gosh, I awoke this morning to make phone calls, remembering a dream I had where Mr. Obama was in a lake submerged in water to his waist and get this, wearing a moose head mask. In the world of mind and spirit like attracts like. Barack Obama, pass it on!

I just got home. Got on the Obama site to check out the latest WY victory news. (Great news also about Dem. congressman winner in IL.) Husband had emailed today a picture from Anchorage, AK -- a moose on a snowy sidewalk, outside his hotel. That is when you know you're not in Southern California anymore. It didn't look like the wild-flower-covered green hills view outside here. It was about 77 degrees today. I used to live in North Idaho (and shovel that white stuff), so I checked out this No. Idaho Obama supporter blog. Wow. I see ANOTHER moose picture. That has never happened twice in one day.
The Blueprint for Change (which Obama had long before Hillary's "new" Blueprint for the Economy), and the office with the web site up make the picture fabulous! Back in the day when I lived up there my modern-day link to the outside world was a giant satellite dish from which I had to constantly scoop out the snow so that it would work. That was when CNN just started, and they could hardly figure out how to fill up a 24-hour news cycle. The fun part: nothing was scrambled, and you could view all the uncensored feeds bouncing up and down from satellites to earth.

Dear Northern Idaho:
In as one recent blog posting I've sung your praises but that doesn't seem enough.
I'm a Canadian resident and taxpayer, so I can't donate directly to the campaign. I've also decided that I can't / won't call Mississippi and other states because I know if I received a phone call from an American recommending I should vote for "X" in a Canadian election, I'd instinctively vote for "Y". That is, as a 'foreigner', I believe that I shouldn't be seen as interfering in your political affairs, and that's probably for good reason.
But you've done so much. If you've experienced out-of-pocket costs and if it's not illegal for me to cover some of those, please let me know. I could probably cough up a few U$ in order to defray those costs and in doing so wouldn't feel quite so worthless on this side of the border.
Contact me, if you wish, at cyntil8@rogers.com.

This is Susan in Spokane. I saw your blog posting on the main Obama blog in response to the article they had posted today of the statistics for an Obama vs. McCain election. I hope you are right, that we are underestimating the blue support among traditionally red voters. Personally, I find it hard to believe that McCain has as much support as he does.
I also wanted to let you know that myself and a couple others (we came in contact via the www.yeswecansong.com blog) are working to organize a National Parade for Hope in support of Obama to be held in as many places as possible on Saturday, April 20th. (The Sat. before the PA primaries -- but of course I'm hoping it will also impress voters in IN, NC, KY and the other states who will be voting after PA).
I have the name of an Obama contact in CdA -- but also wanted to let you know about it in case you want to do something up in Sandpoint rather than travel to CdA. I have put in to form a new group called "National Parade for Hope" that is still pending approval by the website administrator. In the meantime, I'm a member of the Eastern Washington for Obama and Spokane for Obama groups on his website.
Thanks for all you do. From some of the other posts, it sounds like it's a lot. Speaking of signs, have they made any "Yes.We.Can" signs yet? Those are ones I would really want!
Hope to hear back from you.

I felt inspired to put together an Obama image.
First, a small preview:

if you want to download an 11"x17" version, go to:
Link
print that out, take it to kinkos, and they can make it 3'x5' for fairly cheap.
if you appreciate my work, digg it!
