I am glad that Barack decided to address the recent Rev. Wright comments. Let me also say that I think Wright is an intelligent man, but is doing this country a disservice when he chooses to bring himself to the political front instead of letting Barack address the real issues at this critical time in his campaign.
I have listened to the quoted/looped speeches of Wright in full and did not take offense at them. But to essentially say that Barack is a typical politician as he did yesterday gives me great pause. The Moyers interview was excellent and had Wright stopped there, I think that people would have been more understanding to his positions and comments. Unfortunately, it looks like the media spotlight on him brought out comments and ego that many do not relate to or agree with.
I honestly think that Wright is trying to expand the broader picture of race and religion in this country, but is just going about it the wrong way at the wrong time.
