My Thoughts on Hillary as VP

Last night I read in article where Hillary indicated that she would not rule out being on the ticket as Vice President. I would just like all of you to know that I have talked to many Obama supporters in the Houston area and we all believe this would be a huge mistake. When I was at the polls voting and at the caucus, you would have been amazed at the diversity of the individuals who were there to support him. I know that she has been feeding both the press and members of the Obama campaign the line that he cannot win over her supporters or her voting blocks without her. I do not believe this is true. There are many other VP candidates that could help Obama in this area and not create the added problem of continuously trying to usurp his Presidential power once he is in office. In addition, those of us who supported Obama, did so because we believe in his vision of change, of a new Washington. Hillary Clinton represents exactly the kind of politics Obama has professed to change. By adding her to the ticket, many of us would see that as a slap in the face.

I read someone's post who suggested that we contact HQ with our concerns about Hillary or anyone else as VP, and I think it's a pretty good idea.
The toll free number is contained in this link if you are interested in doing so.

I just watched a discussion with David Brooks and Mark Shields on The News Hour on PBS, that was a good positive discussion about Obama. They were both appalled at Clinton's refusal to congratulate Barack and acknowledge his win last night.
They both believe that Clinton's statement yesterday in a conference call, that she is interested in the VP slot, is a guarantee that she will NOT be offered the VP slot. They both agree that to give her the VP slot now, would appear as though Barack is allowing her to set the agenda, and it would make him look weak. They both believe there is zero chance of Clinton as VP. I like Brooks and Shields.
If it hasn't played in your time zone, I recommend it. You will enjoy it!

Nicole is right; Hillary would be a slap in the face to long time Obama'08 supporters (I started March 2007). But I think that a woman VP would be the best thing that Sen. Obama could do to heal the party. The VP candidate should "believe in his vision of change", quoting Nicole. This alone rules out H. Clinton. Why not Kathy Sebelius, governor of Kansas? She is a supporter and did a good job on the Obama ad recently.
